Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh beban kerja dan gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia sebagai variabel mediasi di PT. Gresik Migas (Perseroda). Penelitian menggunakan metode Structural Equation Model (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan empat variabel utama: beban kerja, gaya kepemimpinan, praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia, dan kinerja karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia, tetapi tidak langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sebaliknya, gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia dan kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia berperan sebagai mediasi yang signifikan dalam hubungan beban kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Implikasi manajerial penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya perusahaan mengelola beban kerja, menguatkan gaya kepemimpinan berbasis pemberdayaan, serta mengembangkan praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan secara optimal.

This study aims to examine the influence of workload and leadership style on employee performance, with human resource management practices as a mediating variable at PT. Gresik Migas (Perseroda). The study employs the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with four main variables: workload, leadership style, human resource management practices, and employee performance. The results show that workload has a significant positive effect on human resource management practices but does not directly affect employee performance. Conversely, leadership style significantly influences both human resource management practices and employee performance. Additionally, human resource management practices serve as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between workload and employee performance. The managerial implications of this study emphasize the importance of managing workload, strengthening empowerment-based leadership styles, and developing effective human resource management practices to optimize company performance.
