Abstract

XYZ.

The fashion industry, especially fast fashion, continues to develop and encourages textile manufacturers to implement custom ordering systems. However, high variability in designs, materials, and order quantities leads to small production lot sizes and variable processes, increasing the risk of errors, especially in supply chains involving suppliers and manufacturers. This research aims to create a lean supply chain model to increase efficiency and reduce waste in the supply chain and manufacturing. The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach is used to identify and overcome problems at PT. XYZ. Analysis includes current state mapping to visualize existing conditions, Process Activity Mapping (PAM) to classify activities based on added value, and the use of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failures. Improvements were made using the 5S method and development of future state mapping. The research results show that the application of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and 5S has succeeded in increasing supply chain efficiency with a time reduction of 10% or an increase in efficiency of 90%. Recommendations for improvement include optimizing the distribution of materials to production divisions to reduce unnecessary waiting times, creating a more systematic supplier database, as well as implementing 5S in production areas such as organizing materials and managing a neater work environment. This strategy is expected to improve supply chain performance by reducing waste, speeding up the production process, and improving overall product quality.
