Abstract

Zoonosis pada kucing adalah penyakit yang dapat ditularkan dari kucing ke kucing lainnya atau dari kucing ke manusia. Zoonosis pada kucing menjadi ancaman kesehatan serius, terutama di Indonesia sebagai negara dengan pemelihara kucing terbanyak di Asia Tenggara. Namun risiko zoonosis pada kucing sering diabaikan, hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan pemelihara kucing mengenai zoonosis dan perawatan kucing. Upaya edukasi mengenai zoonosis pada kucing kepada pemelihara kucing perlu dilakukan, salah satu bentuk edukasi yang efektif adalah melalui media video eksplanasi motion graphic. Beberapa Metode penelitian digunakan untuk perancangan ini, yaitu studi literatur, studi eksisting, kuisioner, depth interview, studi eksperimen, dan user testing kepada pemelihara kucing usia 17-25 tahun dengan tahapan pre-test untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan mengenai zoonosis pada kucing, dilanjutkan dengan tahapan post-test setelah menonton video eksplanasi hasil perancangan ini untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan pemelihara kucing serta mendapatkan umpan balik langsung dari mereka. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah video eksplanasi motion graphic mengenai zoonosis pada kucing untuk usia 17 – 25 tahun yang dapat diakses melalui YouTube. Video eksplanasi ini diharapkan dapat mengedukasi pemelihara kucing mengenai risiko zoonosis pada kucing dan perawatannya demi menciptakan kesejahteraan hidup kucing dan pemeliharanya.

Zoonosis in cats refers to diseases that can be transmitted from one cat to another or from cats to humans. Zoonosis in cats poses a serious health threat, especially in Indonesia, which has the highest number of cat owners in Southeast Asia. However, the risk of zoonosis in cats is often overlooked due to a lack of knowledge among cat owners regarding zoonosis and proper cat care. Educational efforts on zoonosis in cats need to be conducted, and one effective way to educate cat owners is through explanatory motion graphic videos. Several research methods were used in this study, including literature review, existing studies, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, experimental studies, and user testing with cat owners aged 17–25 years. The research involved a pre-test phase to assess their initial knowledge of zoonosis in cats, followed by a post-test after watching the explanatory video to measure their increased understanding and gather direct feedback. The outcome of this project is an explanatory motion graphic video about zoonosis in cats for the 17–25 age group, accessible on YouTube. This explanatory video is expected to educate cat owners about the risks of zoonosis in cats and proper care, ultimately improving the well-being of both cats and their owners.
