Abstract

Manggis merupakan komoditi ekspor terbesar di daerah kecamatan Lingsar, kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat. dengan jumlah petani pemilik pohon manggis sebanyak 328 orang. Selain dijual di pasar lokal, manggis di daerah lingsar juga diekspor ke luar negeri seperti China, Uni Emirat Arab, sampai ke negara-negara di Eropa. Salah satu eksportir manggis di daerah Lombok Barat yaitu PT BAS yang memiliki Gudang sekaligus lokasi operasional untuk menyimpan dan mengelola manggis yang akan diekspor. Untuk menjaga suhu manggis, PT BAS mengunakan Cold Storage untuk menyimpan manggis yang sudah dipanen untuk disimpan sebelum dikemas dan diekspor. Cold Storage ini memiliki dua ruangan untuk tempat penyimpanan dan pendinginan menggunakan 3 chiller. Selain menggunakan chiller sebagai pendingin ruangan, Cold Storage ini juga mendistribusikan CO2, NO2, dan O2 kedalam storage untuk menjaga kualitas manggis yang disimpan tetap bagus sebelum diekspor. Pendistribusian CO2, NO2, dan O2 berguna untuk tetap menjaga kadar dalam buah manggis agar tidak mengalami pembusukan dikarenakan disimpan didalam ruangan yang tertutup. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menjaga kualitas dari manggis yang disimpan sehingga siap untuk diekspor. Maka dari itu untuk efesiensi biaya dan waktu pentingnya penerapan metode design and simulation pada Cold Storage untuk mengetahui kadar yang masuk dan pemilik perusahaan dapat memantau secara real time kondisi manggis yang disimpan didalamnya

Mangosteen is the largest export commodity in Lingsar sub-district, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara. with the number of mangosteen tree farmers as many as 328 people. In addition to being sold in the local market, mangosteen in the Lingsar area is also exported abroad such as China, the United Arab Emirates, and even to countries in Europe. One of the mangosteen exporters in West Lombok is PT BAS which has a warehouse as well as an operational location to store and manage mangosteen to be exported. To maintain the temperature of the mangosteen, PT BAS uses Cold Storage to store the harvested mangosteen for storage before being packaged and exported. This Cold Storage has two rooms for storage and cooling using 3 chillers. In addition to using a chiller as a room cooler, this Cold Storage also distributes CO2, NO2, and O2 into the storage to maintain the quality of the stored mangosteen so that it remains good before being exported. The distribution of CO2, NO2, and O2 is useful for maintaining the levels in the mangosteen fruit so that it does not rot because it is stored in a closed room. This aims to maintain the quality of the stored mangosteen so that it is ready for export. Therefore, for cost and time efficiency, it is important to apply the design and simulation method to Cold Storage to determine the incoming levels and the company owner can monitor in real time the condition of the mangosteen stored in it
