Abstract
Burung di Indonesia tercatat 1.568 spesies dan dapat hidup pada berbagai habitat di seluruh dunia. Spesies burung teridentifikasi memiliki peran sebagai pemecah biji, penyerbuk atau pollinator, predator hama dan pemangsa puncak raptor. Salah satu jenis burung pollinator adalah jenis dari famili Nectariniiade dengan spesies Pijantung kecil (Arachnothera longirostra). Keberadaan burung pollinator erat dihubungkan dengan habitatnya. Habitat memiliki kapasitas tertentu untuk mendukung pertumbuhan populasi suatu organisme khususnya aktivitas bersarang. Salah satu lokasi habitat burung Pijantung kecil adalah di RPTN Ranu Darungan Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sarang, pohon sarang, sumber pakan dan fisiognomi vegetasi di sekitar sarang burung Pijantung kecil. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan metode kerja identifikasi karakteristik sarang, pohon sarang, sumber pakan dan fisiognomi vegetasi menggunakan Dansereau sepanjang 50 meter. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa karakteristik sarang burung Pijantung kecil, berbentuk bola tak beraturan dengan pintu di bagian depannya dengan diameter luar 10 cm, diameter dalam 5 cm, tebal lapisan 1 yang tersusun rerumputan kering 2 cm, tebal lapisan 2 biji liana Apocynaceae 3 cm, tinggi keseluruhan sarang 13 cm, tinggi ruang bagian dalam sarang 8 cm. Letak sarang berada di 1/3 dari tangkai pelepah daun Rotan balubuk (Calamus burckianus Beccari). Material sarang yang digunakan yaitu berupa rerumputan kering, jaring laba-laba, getah dan biji bunga liana famili Apocynaceae. Karakteristik pohon sarang yaitu Rotan balubuk (Calamus burckianus Beccari) memiliki karakter tinggi pohon 8 m dan berdiameter 10,5 cm, kemiringan pohon 0° dan pohon termasuk arsitektur pohon Cornerr. Spesies tumbuhan pakan yang terletak di area pohon sarang burung Pijantung kecil yaitu Pisang (Musa paradisiaca) dengan jarak 43,3 m, Pisang acuminata (Musa acuminata) dengan jarak 148,26 m, Gesto (Poikilospermum souveolens) dengan jarak 68,27 m, Dompyong (Syzygium polycephalum) dengan jarak 69,17 m, Jambu lutung (Syzygium jambos) dan Juwet mante (Syzygium nervosum) memiliki ukuran yang sama yaitu 42,26 m dan Duwet (Saurauia nudifora) dengan jarak 11,8 m. Demikian, didapatkan rata-rata jarak spesies tumbuhan pakan dengan sarang burung Pijantung kecil yaitu 10,5 m. Fisiognomi vegetasi di sekitar pohon sarang menginformasikan bahwa rata-rata tinggi tajuk adalah 8,69 m dan terletak pada strata understorey.

There are 1,568 recorded bird species in Indonesia and can live in various habitats throughout the world. Bird species have been identified as having a role as seed crushers, pollinators, pest predators and top predators Raptors. One type of pollinating bird is little spiderhunter (Arachnothera longirostra). The existence of pollinating birds is closely related to their habitat. Habitat has a certain capacity to support the population growth of an organism, especially its nesting behavior. One of the habitat locations for the little spiderhunter is Ranu Darungan RPTN, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. This research aims to determine the characteristics of nests, nest trees, food resources and physiognomy of vegetation around the nests of the little spiderhunter. The research method used was purposive sampling with the working method of identifying nest characteristics, nest trees, food resources and vegetation physiognomy using Danserau method with a 50 meter line transect. Analysis data used descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it is known that the characteristics of the little spiderhunter’s nest is in the shape of an irregular ball with a door at the front with an outer diameter of 10 cm, an inner diameter of 5 cm, layer 1 thick, dry grass, 2 cm thick, layer 2, Apocynaceae liana flower seeds, 3 cm high, nest 13 cm high, the inner space of the nest is 8 cm. The location of the nest is in 1/3 leaf sheath of the leaf midrib of Balubuk Rattan (Calamus burckianus Beccari). The nest materials used are dry grass, spider webs, sap and flower seeds of the Apocynaceae family (liana). The characteristic of the tree nest is Balubuk rattan (Calamus burckianus Beccari) has a tree height of 8 m and a diameter of 10.5 cm, a tree slope of 0° and includes a cornerr tree architecture. The types of food resource located in the area of the little spiderhunter (Arachnothera longirosta) nest tree are Banana (Musa paradisiaca) at a distance of 43.3 m, Banana acuminata (Musa acuminata) at a distance of 148.26 m, Gesto (Poikilospermum souveolens) at a distance of 68.27 m, Dompyong (Syzygium polycephalum) with a distance of 69.17 m, plants a Guava langur (Syzygium jambos) and Juwet mante (Syzygium nervosum) have the same distance 42.26 m and the last is Duwet (Saurauia nudifora) with the distance 11.8 m. It was found that the average distance between food resources and the nest of the little spiderhunter (Arachnothera longirostra) was 10.5 m. The physiognomy of the vegetation around the tree nest shows that the average canopy height is 8.69 m and is located in the understorey strata.
