Abstract

Permukiman penduduk dengan berbagai industri pertanian, industri, dan jasa yang dapat mendongkrak perekonomian nasional memiliki banyak potensi untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Namun, wilayah ini rentan terhadap bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami, seperti yang pernah terjadi pada tsunami 1994, khususnya di Kecamatan Pesanggaran. Perlu adanya perbaikan peta kerentanan wilayah ini. Penelitian ini menunjukkan penerapan metode Sistem Informasi Geografis terhadap bencana tsunami dengan menganalisis kerentanan wilayah pesisir di Kecamatan Pesanggaran, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Provinsi Jawa Timur menggunakan metode scoring dan weighted overlay. Kemiringan lereng, elevasi, jarak dari garis pantai, jarak dari sungai, dan tutupan lahan merupakan faktor utama yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kerentanan bencana alam ini terhadap tsunami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa elevasi dengan bobot 25 merupakan faktor terpenting dalam terjadinya tsunami. Kemudian diikuti oleh kemiringan lereng, jarak dari sungai dan garis pantai, serta tutupan lahan dengan bobot masing-masing 20 dan 15. Sebagai konsekuensi dari interpretasi penelitian ini akan dibuat peta kerentanan bencana tsunami yang dibagi menjadi 5 (lima) kelas yaitu sangat rendah, rendah, sedang, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi terhadap bencana tsunami. Secara keseluruhan diketahui bahwa Kecamatan Pesanggaran didominasi oleh klasifikasi kerentanan sedang terhadap tsunami dilihat dari luas wilayah sebarannya yaitu 21338.418017 Ha diikuti oleh klasifikasi kerentanan rendah terhadap tsunami yaitu 10979.994324 Ha dan klasifikasi kerentanan tinggi terhadap tsunami seluas 10652.569367 Ha.

Residential settlements with various agricultural, industrial, and service industries that can boost the national economy have a lot of potential to be developed in Banyuwangi Regency. However, this area is vulnerable to earthquakes and tsunamis, as happened in the 1994 tsunami, especially in Pesanggaran District. There needs to be an improvement in the vulnerability map for this area. This research shows the application of the Geographic Information System method to the tsunami disaster by analyzing the vulnerability of coastal areas in Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province using the scoring and weighted overlay methods. Slope, elevation, distance from the coastline, distance from the river, and land cover are the primary factors used to analyze the vulnerability of this natural disaster to tsunamis. The research’s findings indicate that elevation, with a weight of 25, is the most important factor in the case of a tsunami. Slope, distance from the river and coastline, and land cover, with weights of 20 and 15, respectively, follow. A tsunami disaster vulnerability map that is separated into 5 (five) classes very low, low, medium, high, and very high against tsunami disasters will be created as a consequence of the interpretation of this investigation. As a result, overall, it is known that Pesanggaran District is dominated by the classification of moderate vulnerability to tsunamis seen from the area of its distribution, which is 21338.418017 Ha followed by the classification of low vulnerability to tsunamis, which is 10979.994324 Ha and the classification of high vulnerability to tsunamis in an area of 10652.569367 Ha.
