Abstract
Penelitian ini fokus pada perancangan alat bantu inovatif untuk mendukung pengujian hambatan model kapal di kolam terbuka. Langkah-langkah perancangan mencakup pembuatan alat ukur hambatan dan kecepatan. Pengujian dilakukan dengan 5 variasi kecepatan yaitu ; 0.75 m/s, 1.00 m/s, 1.25 m/s, 1.50 m/s dan 1.75 m/s. Konsep pengujian dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali disetiap variasi pengujian. Hasil dari pengujian adalah alat ukur kecepatan mampu mengukur kecepatan kapal saat pengujian sedang berjalan dalam kondisi real time dan memiliki margin of error dibawah 1% saat pengujian dengan kalibrasi yang dilakukan sebelum dilakukannya pengujian. Kemudian alat ukur hambatan mampu mengukur hambatan kapal dan memiliki hasil margin of error dibawah 10 % saat pengujian di kecepatan tinggi. Manfaat dari penelitian ini melibatkan pengurangan biaya dalam pengujian hambatan kapal. Selain itu, penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam pengembangan teknologi pengujian hambatan kapal di kolam terbuka. Diharapkan penelitian menyatakan bahwa alat yang dirancang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengukur hambatan sehingga memungkinkan pengujian hambatan kapal yang efektif di kolam terbuka.

This research focuses on designing innovative tools to support resistance testing of ship models in open pools. The design steps include creating resistance and speed measuring instruments. Testing was carried out with 5 speed variations, namely; 0.75 m/s, 1.00 m/s, 1.25 m/s, 1.50 m/s and 1.75 m/s. Concept Testing is carried out 8 times for each test variation. The results of the test are that the Speed Measuring Instrument is able to measure the speed of the ship while the test is running in real time conditions and has a margin of error below 1% when do the calibration system. Then the Resistance Measuring Tool is able to measure the resistance of the ship and has a margin of error result of below 10% in the high speed test. The benefits of this research involve reducing costs in testing ship resistance. In addition, this research is expected to be the first step in developing technology for testing ship resistance in open pools. It is hoped that the research will show that the designed tool has the ability to measure resistance, thereby enabling effective testing of ship resistance in open pools.
