Abstract

This research focuses on strategies for the management of 2,676 ex-termination materials worth USD 5.5 million in the upstream oil and gas industry that have not been optimally and structurally utilised. The methodological approach implemented involves the integration of ABC classification, VED, FMSD, and decision-making based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The study results indicate that 21% of the materials are high-value (Category A), 56% are classified as vital, and 85.95% fall under deadstock. High-index materials (19–36) are recommended for maximisation through internal utilisation, while the low-index materials (1–2) are proposed for disposal. AHP indicates that the top priority is internal utilisation (68.23%), followed by lending, transfer, and disposal. The sensitivity test proves that this decision model is stable and reliable.
