Abstract

Pariwisata merupakan sektor strategis yang berperan penting dalam meningkatkan ekonomi lokal, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan melestarikan budaya serta lingkungan. Di Indonesia, desa wisata menjadi tren yang terus berkembang. Salah satunya adalah Desa Wisata Sei Gohong yang masih menghadapi tantangan, khususnya dalam pengelolaan SDM
Pokdarwis. SDM Pokdarwis yang kurang kompeten dapat menghambat optimalisasi potensi desa wisata. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kapasitas SDM Pokdarwis melalui edukasi wisata menjadi kebutuhan penting. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Wisata Sei Gohong, Kecamatan Bukit Batu, Kota Palangka Raya, dengan unit analisis Pokdarwis Desa Wisata Sei Gohong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi dan tantangan Pokdarwis Desa Wisata Sei
Gohong dalam meningkatkan SDM Pokdarwis melalui edukasi wisata untuk mendukung pengembangan Desa Wisata Sei Gohong. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pokdarwis
Sei Gohong menerapkan lima (5) strategi dalam meningkatkan SDM Pokdarwis melalui edukasi wisata, yaitu membentuk budaya belajar yang kolaboratif, kepemimpinan yang supportive terhadap edukasi wisata, pelibatan masyarakat Desa Sei Gohong dalam kegiatan Pokdarwis, formal learning development, dan space management untuk mendukung proses
edukasi wisata. Sementara itu, tantangan yang dihadapi Pokdarwis Sei Gohong dalam meningkatkan SDM anggotanya terbagi menjadi tantangan internal dan tantangan eksternal.
Tantangan internal meliputi kurangnya partisipasi aktif anggota Pokdarwis, kurangnya komitmen jangka panjang yang dimiliki anggota Pokdarwis, dan knowledge gap di tiap bidang
Pokdarwis. Sedangkan tantangan eksternal meliputi, ketergantungan Pokdarwis terhadap bantuan eksternal dan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat akan pelestarian lingkungan dan cara pengelolaan sampah yang ramah lingkungan.

Tourism is a strategic sector that plays an important role in boosting the local economy, creating jobs, and preserving culture and the environment. In Indonesia, tourism villages are a growing trend. One such village is Sei Gohong Tourism Village, which still faces challenges, particularly in managing its tourism village community (Pokdarwis) human resources. Incompetent Pokdarwis human resources can hinder the optimization of tourism village potential. Therefore, enhancing the capacity of Pokdarwis human resources through tourism education is an important need. This study is located in Sei Gohong Tourism Village, Bukit Batu Sub-district, Palangka Raya City, with the unit of analysis being the Pokdarwis of Sei Gohong Tourism Village. This study aims to analyze the strategies and challenges of the Sei Gohong Tourism Village Pokdarwis in enhancing human resources through tourism education to support the development of the Sei Gohong Tourism Village. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. The research results indicate that the Sei Gohong Tourism Village Community Group implements five (5) strategies to enhance the human resources of the Tourism Village Community Group through tourism education, namely fostering a collaborative learning culture, supportive leadership toward tourism education, involving the Sei Gohong Village community in Tourism Village Community Group activities,
formal learning development, and space management to support the tourism education process. Meanwhile, the challenges faced by Pokdarwis Sei Gohong in improving the human resources of its members are divided into internal and external challenges. Internal challenges include low active participation of Pokdarwis members, lack of long-term commitment among Pokdarwis members, and knowledge gaps in each area of Pokdarwis. External challenges include Pokdarwis's dependence on external assistance and the community's lack of understanding of environmental conservation and environmentally friendly waste management
practices.
