Abstract

Penggunaan floating breakwater sebagai struktur pelindung pelabuhan semakin mendapatkan perhatian dalam desain pelabuhan modern. Floating breakwater dapat berfungsi
untuk meredam energi gelombang laut, sehingga menciptakan kondisi perairan yang lebih tenang dan aman bagi aktivitas pelabuhan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai layout dari floating breakwater dan evaluasi efisiensinya dalam meredam energi gelombang pada pelabuhan. Melalui simulasi numerik menggunakan software simulasi gelombang,
dilakukan analisis variasi konfigurasi layout floating breakwater dalam memitigasi dampak gelombang terhadap area pelabuhan. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi tinggi gelombang, periode gelombang, dan arah datang gelombang. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan layout yang tepat dari floating breakwater dapat meningkatkan kinerja peredaman energi gelombang, mengurangi tinggi gelombang yang masuk ke pelabuhan, serta meningkatkan stabilitas operasi pelabuhan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan desain pelabuhan yang lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan, dengan memanfaatkan teknologi floating breakwater untuk mitigasi gelombang.

The use of floating breakwaters as harbor protection structures is increasingly gaining attention in modern port design. Floating breakwaters can function to dampen ocean wave energy, thus creating calmer and safer water conditions for harbor activities. This study aims to analyze various layouts of floating breakwaters and evaluate their efficiency in dampening wave energy in port. Through numerical simulations using wave simulation software,an
analysis of variations in floating breakwater layout configurations was carried out in mitigating the impact of waves on the port area. The parameters analyzed included wave height, wave period, and wave direction. The results of the study show that selecting the right layout of a floating breakwater can improve wave energy damping performance, reduce wave height entering the harbor, and increase the stability of port operations. This study provides an important contribution to the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly port designs, by utilizing floating breakwater technology for wave mitigation.
