Abstract

Kota Jambi, sebagai salah satu pusat kegiatan perdagangan di wilayah Sumatera, mengalami dinamika perubahan penggunaan lahan yang signifikan dalam kurun waktu 2009 hingga 2019. Perubahan paling menonjol terjadi pada kategori lahan permukiman, perdagangan dan jasa, serta industri. Selama periode tersebut, penggunaan lahan untuk perdagangan dan jasa meningkat sebesar ±962,72 hektar, industri sebesar ±67,78 hektar, dan permukiman mengalami pertumbuhan paling pesat dengan penambahan ±5.040 hektar.Salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menganalisis dinamika ini adalah pemodelan spasial berbasis Cellular Automata (CA), yang diimplementasikan melalui perangkat lunak LanduseSim versi 2.3.1. Meskipun perubahan penggunaan lahan telah teridentifikasi, dampaknya terhadap perkembangan tata ruang kota di masa mendatang masih belum sepenuhnya dipahami. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menyusun model prediktif perubahan penggunaan lahan berdasarkan tren historis perubahan lahan di wilayah Kota Jambi.Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan tingkat akurasi yang sangat tinggi, dengan nilai overall accuracy mencapai 99%, sehingga model yang dikembangkan dapat dianggap valid dan andal. Proyeksi hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa lahan permukiman diperkirakan akan terus bertambah hingga mencapai ±507,596 hektar. Lahan perdagangan dan jasa diproyeksikan meningkat menjadi ±97,280 hektar, sementara lahan industri mencapai ±6,823 hektar. Sebaliknya, beberapa kategori lahan mengalami konversi yang cukup signifikan, yakni lahan terbuka sebesar ±768,729 hektar, area hijau sebesar ±173,320 hektar, dan sawah sebesar ±44,709 hektar.

Rapid urbanization in Jambi City has resulted in significant changes in land use, especially the conversion of agricultural land into residential and industrial areas. In 2009 about 35% of the Jambi City, as one of the major commercial centers in the Sumatra region, has experienced significant land use changes between 2009 and 2019. The most notable transformations occurred in residential, commercial and service, and industrial land use categories. During this period, land use for commercial and service activities increased by approximately ±962.72 hectares, industrial land by ±67.78 hectares, and residential land experienced the highest growth with an expansion of around ±5,040 hectares.One of the approaches used to analyze this dynamic is spatial modeling based on Cellular Automata (CA), implemented through the LanduseSim software version 2.3.1. Although these land use changes have been identified, their long-term impacts on future urban spatial development remain not fully understood. Therefore, this study aims to develop a predictive model of land use change based on historical trends in Jambi City.The modeling results demonstrated a very high level of accuracy, with an overall accuracy value of 99%, indicating that the model is both valid and reliable. The simulation projections suggest that residential land is expected to continue expanding to approximately ±507.596 hectares. Commercial and service areas are projected to reach ±97.280 hectares, while industrial land is expected to increase to ±6.823 hectares. Conversely, several land categories are predicted to undergo substantial conversion, including open land (±768.729 hectares), green areas (±173.320 hectares), and rice fields (±44.709 hectares).
