Abstract

Sektor industri merupakan kontributor signifikan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK), termasuk PT X, perusahaan manufaktur alat medis di Kabupaten Bekasi, yang telah menjalankan program efisiensi energi dan pengurangan emisi untuk mencapai target Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2050. Dalam operasionalnya, PT X menggunakan listrik dari PLN sebagai salah satu upaya penurunan emisi GRK, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan agar target tercapai secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian program pengurangan emisi PT X dengan standar Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), mengidentifikasi aspek yang perlu diperbaiki, serta menetapkan prioritas rekomendasi aksi mitigasi menuju NZE 2050. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari data primer yang meliputi pencatatan proses dan sub proses pengguna energi dan wawancara serta kuesioner dengan stakeholder PT X, dan data sekunder meliputi data penggunaan energi PT X, data produksi energi dari photovoltaic (PV), data hasil produksi, invoice listrik PLN tahun 2023-2024, dan roadmap NZE SBTi near term targets. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam menentukan rekomendasi strategi aksi mitigasi menggunakan pendekatan Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC) dan pendekatan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program pengurangan emisi GRK yang telah dilakukan PT X pada tahun 2024 terbukti berhasil menurunkan emisi GRK sebesar 440 tCO2e dari emisi GRK dibandingkan skenario Business as Usual (BaU), namun belum sesuai dengan roadmap NZE 2050 SBTi near-term target. Selisih antara target SBTi dengan emisi GRK aktual yaitu 56 tCO2e. Faktor dan upaya perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan PT X dalam mencapai target NZE SBTi yaitu optimalisasi konsumsi energi (scope 2) dan pengurangan emisi GRK langsung (scope 1). Berdasarkan pendekatan AHP, prioritas pemilihan strategi aksi mitigasi untuk menurunkan tingkat emisi GRK secara berurutan yaitu penggunaan kombinasi REC (47,3%) dengan reduksi 36.195 tCO2e, penambahan kapasitas PV (42%) dengan reduksi 62.209 tCO2e, dan penggantian tipe refrigerant dan kendaraan operasional perusahaan (10%) dengan reduksi 976 tCO2e.

The industrial sector is a significant contributor to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, including PT X, a medical device manufacturing company in Bekasi Regency, which has implemented an energy efficiency and emission reduction program to achieve the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2050 target. In its operation, PT X uses electricity from PLN as one of the efforts to reduce GHG emissions, although improvements are still needed to achieve the target optimally. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of PT X's emission reduction program with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standards, identify aspects that need improvement, and set priorities for mitigation action recommendations towards NZE 2050. The data collection technique consists of primary data which includes recording energy user processes and sub-processes and interviews and questionnaires with PT X stakeholders, and secondary data including PT X's energy use data, energy production data from photovoltaic (PV), production data, PLN electricity invoices for 2023-2024, and NZE SBTi near term targets roadmap. The research method used in determining recommendations for mitigation action strategies uses the Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC) approach and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. The results of the study show that the implementation of the GHG emission reduction program that has been carried out by PT X in 2024 has proven to be successful in reducing GHG emissions by 440 tCO2e from GHG emissions compared to the Business as Usual (BaU) scenario, but it is not following the NZE 2050 SBTi near-term target. The difference between the SBTi target and actual GHG emissions is 56 tCO2e. Factors and improvement efforts that can be made by PT X in achieving the NZE SBTi target are optimizing energy consumption (scope 2) and reducing direct GHG emissions (scope 1). Based on the AHP approach, the priority of selecting mitigation action strategies to reduce GHG emission levels is the use of a combination of REC (47.3%) with a reduction of 36,195 tCO2e, an increase in PV capacity (42%) with a reduction of 62,209 tCO2e, and the replacement of refrigerant types and company operational vehicles (10%) with a reduction of 976 tCO2e.
