Abstract

Kesetaraan gender dalam memastikan partisipasi perempuan dalam politik dan pengambilan keputusan seringkali mendapatkan tantangan dari budaya patriarki. Munculnya kepemimpinan perempuan di Madura di tengah budaya patriarki yang kental berpotensi mendapat konstruksi gender dari masyarakat Madura dan menjadi tantangan dalam kepemimpinan perempuan. Terutama di Desa Baddurih, dimana masyarakat memiliki kepercayaan tinggi terhadap kepemimpinan dari kepala desa perempuan yang merupakan keluarga dari kepala desa sebelumnya. Permasalahan tersebut memunculkan beberapa pertanyaan yang akan dikaji sekaligus menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana konstruksi gender masyarakat Desa Baddurih terhadap Klebun Babine’ dan bagaimana konstruksi gender tersebut berpengaruh kepada kepemimpinan Klebun Babine’. Penelitian dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi dengan metode pengumpulan data in-depth interview, observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi, serta studi literatur untuk mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan peneliti menggunakan triangulasi teknik, triangulasi sumber data, serta menggunakan metode reduksi data, interpretasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk melakukan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat konstruksi gender terhadap kepemimpinan perempuan terlihat dari stereotip masyarakat terhdap kepemimpinan perempuan. Namun, terlihat bahwa masyarakat juga mulai menerima kepemimpinan perempuan karena performa dan strategi sosial yang dilakukan Klebun Babine’. Gaya kepemimpinannya yang demokratis, partisipatif, dan empatik berhasil membangun kepercayaan masyarakat. Pengaruh tokoh perempuan nasional pun turut serta merubah pola pikir masyarakat terhadap kepemimpinan perempuan menjadi lebih progresif. Konstruksi gender terhadap kepemimpinan Klebun Babine' juga berpengaruh pada sikap yang harus diambil untuk melakukan pendekatan yang lebih terhadap tokoh agama dan masyarakat yang menolak terhadap kepemimpinan perempuan. Selain itu, partisipasi perempuan dalam pembangunan desa juga meningkat, terutama melalui organisasi lokal seperti PKK dan posyandu.

Gender equality in ensuring women's participation in politics and decision-making is often challenged by patriarchal culture. The emergence of women's leadership in Madura in the midst of a strong patriarchal culture has the potential to get gender construction from Madurese society and become a challenge in women's leadership. Especially in Baddurih Village, where the community has high trust in the leadership of the female village head who is the family of the previous village head. The problem raises several questions that will be discussed as well as the objectives of this research, namely how the gender construction of the Baddurih Village community towards Klebun Babine’ and how the gender construction affects Klebun Babine’'s leadership. This research has a qualitative research type using an ethnographic approach with data collection methods of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and literature studies to collect primary and secondary data. In conducting data validity tests, researchers will use triangulation techniques and triangulation of data sources and use data reduction, data interpretation, and conclusion drawing methods for data analysis. The research findings show that gender construction toward female leadership still persists, as reflected in societal stereotypes about women in leadership positions. However, it is evident that the community has started to accept female leadership due to the performance and social strategies employed by Klebun Babine’. Her democratic, participatory, and empathetic leadership style has successfully built public trust. The influence of national female figures has also contributed to shifting the community's mindset toward a more progressive view of women in leadership. Gender construction has influenced the leadership of Klebun Babine’, particularly in the approaches she must take toward religious leaders and segments of the community who reject female leadership.
