Abstract

Efisiensi operasional gudang memegang peranan penting dalam manajemen rantai pasok, terutama di industri alat berat yang memiliki volume barang dan permintaan tinggi. Tugas Akhir ini mengkaji permasalahan penataan barang pada gudang suku cadang di sebuah perusahaan distribusi alat berat. Permasalahan ini berdampak pada tingginya waktu pencarian dan pengambilan barang, terutama untuk jenis barang fast-moving. Meskipun kapasitas penyimpanan cukup memadai, penataan yang tidak terstruktur mengakibatkan pekerja menempuh jarak yang jauh dalam proses order picking. Data observasi di gudang menunjukkan bahwa salah satu SKU dengan permintaan tertinggi pada tahun 2024 harus menempuh jarak sejauh 43.91 meter, sementara jarak ideal yang dapat ditempuh sebetulnya bisa cukup 6.9 meter. Hal ini menunjukkan ketidaksesuaian antara penataan barang dan kebutuhan operasional yang efisien. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode ABC-FSN untuk mengklasifikasikan barang berdasarkan nilai dan perputaran, serta metode Storage Location Assignment Problem (SLAP) dengan pendekatan Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) untuk menentukan lokasi penyimpanan optimal. Selain itu, metode order batch picking diterapkan untuk mengurangi jarak tempuh pekerja. Hasil Tugas Akhir ini diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional gudang dengan mengurangi jarak tempuh pekerja dan mengurangi waktu pemrosesan pesanan.

Warehouse operational efficiency plays a crucial role in supply chain management, especially in the heavy equipment industry, which deals with high product volumes and demand. This undergraduate thesis examines the issue of item arrangement in the spare parts warehouse of a heavy equipment distribution company. The problem leads to long search and picking times, particularly for fast-moving items. Although the storage capacity is sufficient, the lack of a structured layout causes workers to travel long distances during the order picking process. Observational data from the warehouse shows that one of the highest-demand SKUs in 2024 requires a travel distance of 43.91 meters, while the ideal distance could be as short as 6.9 meters. This highlights a mismatch between item placement and the need for efficient operations. To address this issue, the study applies the ABC-FSN method to classify items based on value and turnover, along with the Storage Location Assignment Problem (SLAP) approach using Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) to determine optimal storage locations. Additionally, the order batch picking method is implemented to reduce workers’ travel distance. The outcomes of this thesis are expected to assist the company in improving warehouse operational efficiency by minimizing worker travel distances and reducing order processing time.
