Abstract

Kegiatan industri selalu berkaitan erat dengan dampak lingkungan, sehingga diperlukan
pendekatan sistematis untuk memastikan bahwa pertumbuhan industri dapat berjalan seiring dengan upaya pelestarian lingkungan. PT. Kencar Sukses Investama (PT. KSI) merupakan produsen lembaran plastik Cast Polypropylene (CPP) dan Vacuum Metallizing Cast Polypropylene (VMCPP). Meskipun telah 10 tahun beroperasi, perusahaan ini belum melaksanakan sertifikasi ISO 14001:2015, menjadi standar internasional mengenai sistem manajemen lingkungan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan PT. KSI dalam mengimplementasikan Sistem Manajemen Lingkungan (SML) ISO 14001:2015 dan menyusun rekomendasi klausul-klausul ISO 14001:2015 yang belum dipenuhi oleh perusahaan. Analisis kesiapan PT. Kencar Sukses Investama dalam implementasi SML ISO 14001:2015 dilakukan dengan metode self assessment checklist diadaptasi oleh Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI). Penilaian mandiri ini dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada narasumber perusahaan sesuai dengan keahliannya. Dari proses tersebut diperoleh informasi mengenai kondisi terkini perusahaan dan dokumen yang dimiliki perusahaan terkait penerapan sistem manajemen lingkungan. Selanjutnya, disusun upaya pemenuhan klausul berdasarkan hasil self assessment checklist untuk aspek-aspek yang belum terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan PT. Kencar Sukses Investama dalam menerapkan SML berada pada angka 69%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa perusahaan masih menerapkan sebagian dan perlu melakukan perbaikan untuk memenuhi persyaratan sertifikasi ISO 14001:2015. Klausul yang memperoleh nilai tertinggi adalah klausul 8 (Operasional) dengan nilai sebesar 90%, sedangkan klausul dengan nilai terendah adalah klausul 4 (Konteks Organisasi) dengan nilai sebesar 50%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ini, disarankan agar perusahaan melaksanakan upaya pemenuhan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan implementasi sistem manajemen lingkungan sebagai persiapan sertifikasi.

Industrial activities are closely linked to environmental impacts, making it essential to
adopt a systematic approach that allows industrial growth to occur alongside efforts to preserve the environment. PT. Kencar Sukses Investama (PT. KSI) is a manufacturer of Cast Polypropylene (CPP) sheets and Vacuum Metallizing Cast Polypropylene (VMCPP). Although the company has been active for 10 years, it has not yet obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification, which is the international standard for environmental management systems. This study aims to assess PT. KSI's readiness to implement the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) and to provide recommendations for meeting the clauses of ISO 14001:2015 that the company has not yet addressed. The assessment of PT. Kencar Sukses Investama's readiness for implementing the ISO 14001:2015 EMS was conducted using a self-assessment checklist method adapted from the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI). This self-assessment involved interviews with company representatives based on their areas of expertise. Through this process, information was gathered about the current state of the company and the documents related to the implementation of the environmental management system. Following this, efforts to meet the clauses were developed based on the results of the self-assessment checklist for the aspects that had not been fulfilled. This findings of the research show that PT. Kencar Sukses Investama's readiness level for implementing the EMS is at 69%, indicating that the company is partially compliant and needs to make improvements to meet the requirements for ISO 14001:2015 certification. The clause with the highest score is Clause 8 (Operational), with a score of 90%, while the clause with the lowest score is Clause 4 (Context of the Organization), with a score of 50%. From this evaluation, it is advised that the company take steps to improve its readiness for implementing the environmental management system in preparation for certification.
