Abstract

Salah satu fase implementasi yang menjadi kunci kesuksesan sebuah implementasi ERP adalah Design and Customization. Pada fase ini dilakukan proses penyesuaian proses bisnis sehingga ERP dapat digunakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Namun dalam praktiknya kerap terjadi perubahan pada fase Design and Customization sehingga menyebabkan disrupsi pada proyek implementasi ERP. Work System Theory (WST) dinilai dapat memberikan langkah lugas dalam memahami dan mengembangkan sistem kerja. Wawancara tersemi-struktur dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data elemen sistem kerja dalam proyek implementasi ERP, yang dianalisis dengan open dan axial coding untuk menyusun 3 snapshot sistem kerja. Disusun 3 snapshot sistem kerja yaitu snapshot sistem kerja setelah fase design and customization, sistem kerja perubahan, dan sistem kerja setelah perubahan. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa 3 dari 6 perubahan utama terjadi pada elemen teknologi akibat interaksi antara partisipan dan proses. Sebagai luaran utama, dari perubahan ini disusun sebuah daftar periksa berbasis WST yang memetakan potensi disrupsi ke dalam elemen sistem kerja. Daftar ini diharapkan menjadi alat bantu praktis dalam perencanaan dan pengendalian risiko selama fase implementasi ERP, khususnya pada tahap design and customization.

One of the key phases that determines the success of an ERP implementation is the Design and Customization phase. In this phase, business processes are adjusted so that the ERP system can be used according to the organization’s needs. However, during this process, changes in ERP customization often occur, which can hinder the implementation project. To analyze the requirements and the relationship between ERP usage and the organization. Work System Theory (WST) is considered to provide straightforward steps in understanding and developing work system. Semi-structured interviews were ran to collect data on work system elements in ERP implementation projects, which were analyzed by open and axial coding to compile three work system snapshots. These three works systems are the work system snapshot after the design and customization phase, the change work system, and the work system after the change. The analysis showed that 3 out of 6 major changes occurred in the technological elements due to the interaction between participants and processes. As the main research output, a WST-based checklist was developed that maps potential disruptions into work system elements. This list is expected to be a practical tool in planning and controlling risks during the ERP implementation phase, especially at the design and customization stage.
