Abstract

Magang industri merupakan bagian integral dari kurikulum pendidikan vokasi untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan pengalaman kerja nyata. Laporan ini disusun berdasarkan kegiatan magang selama empat bulan di PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Pabrik Tuban. Fokus utama dari kegiatan magang ini adalah analisa penerapan sistem perawatan dengan metode *Failure Mode and Effect Analysis* (FMEA) pada chain conveyor. Chain conveyor merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam proses produksi semen, sehingga keandalannya perlu dijaga melalui sistem pemeliharaan yang efektif. Metode FMEA digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi kegagalan, menganalisis dampak, dan menentukan prioritas penanganan berdasarkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN). Dari hasil pengolahan data, ditemukan beberapa komponen dengan tingkat kerusakan tinggi yang memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam proses maintenance, seperti link chain dan sprocket. Dengan penerapan metode FMEA, perusahaan dapat mengurangi potensi kerusakan berulang dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Selain memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan sistem perawatan, kegiatan magang ini juga memberikan pengalaman praktis yang sangat bermanfaat dalam membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan teknis dan pemahaman lapangan. Laporan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan sistem perawatan preventif di industri manufaktur, khususnya pada sistem conveyor.

Industrial internship is an integral part of vocational education curriculum, aimed at equipping students with real-world work experience. This report is based on a four-month internship program at PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Tuban Plant. The primary focus of this internship is to analyze the implementation of a maintenance system using the *Failure Mode and Effect Analysis* (FMEA) method on the chain conveyor. The chain conveyor is a crucial component in the cement production process, and its reliability must be maintained through an effective maintenance system. The FMEA method is used to identify potential failures, assess their impact, and prioritize corrective actions based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN). Data analysis revealed several components with high failure rates that require special attention, such as link chains and sprockets. By applying the FMEA method, the company can reduce the risk of recurring failures and improve operational efficiency. In addition to contributing to the improvement of the maintenance system, this internship provides valuable practical experience, enhancing students’ technical skills and field understanding. This report is expected to serve as a reference for developing preventive maintenance systems in the manufacturing industry, particularly for conveyor systems.
