Abstract
Peningkatan emisi karbon dioksida (CO₂) akibat urbanisasi yang pesat menjadi permasalahan lingkungan yang cukup serius, terutama di Kabupaten Bangkalan yang mengalami konversi lahan hijau menjadi kawasan permukiman dan industri. Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) memiliki peran penting dalam menyerap CO₂ melalui proses fotosintesis, namun luasannya di Bangkalan masih di bawah standar nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara proporsi RTH dan reduksi emisi CO₂ guna mendukung perencanaan kota yang lebih berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemetaan spasial dan analisis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel yang diamati. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur konsentrasi CO₂ menggunakan alat ukur Lutron pada ketinggian dua meter, dengan pengambilan sampel di 4 lokasi berbeda. Data hasil pengukuran dikombinasikan dengan analisis proporsi Ruang Terbuka Hijau di masing-masing lokasi. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya model matematis yang dapat menggambarkan hubungan antara proporsi RTH dan tingkat reduksi CO₂ di kawasan perkotaan Bangkalan. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi korelasi antara penggunaan lahan, konsentrasi CO₂, dan karakteristik RTH dalam mendukung perencanaan kota yang lebih hijau dan berkelanjutan. Dan juga menetapkan kebijakan dengan Metode AHP diterapkan untuk menentukan prioritas penyediaan RTH dengan mempertimbangkan aspek ekologis, sosial, estetika, dan efisiensi implementasi

The increase in carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions due to rapid urbanization has become a serious environmental issue, particularly in Bangkalan Regency, where green land is being converted into residential and industrial areas. Green Open Space (GOS) plays a crucial role in absorbing CO₂ through photosynthesis; however, its coverage in Bangkalan remains below the national standard. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the proportion of GOS and CO₂ emission reduction to support more sustainable urban planning. This research employs spatial mapping methods and quantitative analysis using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach to examine the relationships between observed variables. Data collection is conducted by measuring CO₂ concentrations using a Lutron measuring device at a height of two meters, with sampling carried out at 25 different locations. The determination of analysis units considers wind direction and speed as key factors in CO₂ distribution in urban environments. The measurement data is combined with land-use analysis using ArcGIS software to obtain the proportion of GOS in each analysis unit. The expected outcome of this research is the development of a mathematical model that illustrates the relationship between the proportion of GOS and the level of CO₂ reduction in the urban area of Bangkalan. Furthermore, this study aims to identify correlations between land use, CO₂ concentration, and GOS characteristics in supporting greener and more sustainable urban planning.
