Abstract

Perancangan alat bantu (jig) untuk perakitan pintu samping kendaraan taktis Maung 4x4 di PT. Pindad, khususnya di Divisi Kendaraan Khusus. Kegiatan magang ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 5 Februari 2024 hingga 5 Juni 2024. Tujuan magang ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas mahasiswa dalam keterampilan dan pengalaman kerja, serta menumbuhkan karakter kerja yang profesional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode NIDA (Need, Idea, Decision, Action) untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan mengembangkan solusi. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah penggunaan alat bantu sementara yang tidak presisi, menyebabkan teknisi harus melakukan pengukuran manual yang menghambat kinerja dan waktu produksi. Hasil perancangan berupa desain 3D CAD alat bantu (jig) baru yang dilengkapi fitur adjustable untuk bagian body dan kaca pintu, serta castor wheel untuk memudahkan mobilitas. Analisis tegangan dan regangan (Von Mises Stress, Displacement, dan Safety Factor) menunjukkan bahwa desain alat bantu ini aman terhadap beban yang diberikan. Estimasi biaya bahan baku untuk satu unit alat bantu adalah Rp. 2.552.493. Proses pembuatan alat bantu ini diperkirakan memakan waktu total 525 menit. Alat bantu yang baru ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan presisi, kualitas, dan efisiensi dalam perakitan pintu samping kendaraan taktis Maung 4x4.

Designing a jig for assembling the side door of the Maung 4x4 tactical vehicle at PT Pindad, specifically in the Special Vehicle Division. This internship was carried out from 5 February 2024 to 5 June 2024. The purpose of this internship is to improve the quality of students in skills and work experience, as well as foster professional work characters. This research uses the NIDA (Need, Idea, Decision, Action) method to identify problems and develop solutions. The main problem identified was the use of temporary tools that were not precise, causing technicians to have to take manual measurements, which hampered performance and production time. The result is a 3D CAD design of a new jig with adjustable features for the body and door glass, as well as castor wheels to facilitate mobility. Stress and strain analysis (Von Mises Stress, Displacement, and Safety Factor) shows that this tool design is safe against the load given. The estimated cost of raw materials for one unit of the tool is Rp. 2,552,493. The manufacturing process of this tool is estimated to take a total of 525 minutes. The new tool is expected to improve precision, quality, and efficiency in the side door assembly of the Maung 4x4 tactical vehicle..
