Abstract
Sekam padi merupakan limbah pertanian yang memiliki kandungan silika yang tinggi sekitar 87-97% dan dapat diolah menjadi pupuk organik. Bio-grafena sekam dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penyerapan nutrisi serta unsur hara untuk tanaman dan dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan akibat penggunaan pupuk konvensional. Pada penelitian kali ini, pupuk kimia yang digunakan yaitu pupuk NPK Mutiara. Pupuk karbon berbahan dasar sekam padi ini akan diaplikasikan pada tanaman cabai untuk mengujikan seberapa efektif pupuk ini untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman cabai. Pemupukan dilakukan dengan menyemprotkan larutan pupuk pada daun tanaman. Larutan pupuk dibuat dengan berbagai macam variasi dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi pemupukan optimal yang dibutuhkan tanaman cabai. Adapun tahapan dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini antara lain persiapan dan karakterisasi sampel, pembuatan larutan pupuk serta proses penanaman cabai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika larutan pupuk yang hanya mengandung Bio-grafena sekam lebih terlihat pada aspek percepatan kematangan buah, bukan pada peningkatan hasil produksi tanaman cabai secara kuantitatif. Hasil buah cabai terbanyak didapatkan dari tanaman dengan perlakuan pupuk NPK.

Rice husk is an agricultural waste that has a high silica content of around 87-97% and can be processed into organic fertilizer. Bio-graphene rice husk can increase the efficiency of nutrient adsorption and nutrients of plants, and can reduce environmental pollution due to the use of conventional fertilizers. In this study, the chemical fertilizer used was Mutiara NPK fertilizer. The carbon fertilizer made from rice husk will be applied to chili plants to test how effective this fertilizer is for the growth and development of chili plants. Fertilization was carried out by spraying the fertilizer solution into the leaves. The fertilizer solution is made with various variations in order to determine the optimal fertilizer dose needed by chili plants. The stages in implementing this research include sample preparation and characterization, making fertilizer solutions and the chili planting process. The results of the study showed that the fertilizer solution containing only bio-graphene rice husk was more visible in the aspect of accelerating fruit maturity, not in increasing the quantitive production of chili plants. The highest chili fruit yield was obtained from plants with NPK fertilizer.
