Abstract
Berdasarkan analisis ekonomi, proyek ini menunjukkan kelayakan dengan nilai Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) sebesar Rp 360.222.565.904, Operational Expenditure (OPEX) Rp 217.779.514.826 per tahun, Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar Rp 42.850.918.404, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) sebesar 13,63% per tahun, Pay Out Time (POT) selama 6,56 tahun, dan Break Even Point (BEP) sebesar 41,60%.

Bioethanol production as a renewable energy source continues to be developed through the utilization of various raw materials, one of which is molasses as a first-generation feedstock. Molasses is a by-product of the sugar industry that is abundant and holds potential for increased economic value through conversion into bioethanol. This bioethanol plant is planned to be located in Kota Kediri, Kediri, East Java, with a production capacity of 19,400 KL/year and an operational time of 330 days per year on a continuous basis. The main production processes include pre-treatment (dilution and pH adjustment of molasses), fermentation (propagation and anaerobic fermentation by Saccharomyces cerevisiae), as well as ethanol separation and purification using multistage distillation technology and adsorption with molecular sieve. The final product contains 99.6% v/v ethanol with a yield of 19%, in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Based on economic analysis, the project is considered feasible, with a Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) of Rp 360,222,565,904, Operational Expenditure (OPEX) of Rp 217,779,514,826 per year, a Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp 42,850,918,404, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 13.63% per year, a Pay Out Time (POT) of 6.56 years, and a Break Even Point (BEP) of 41.60%. Therefore, from both technical and economic perspectives, the establishment of this bioethanol plant from molasses is considered feasible.
