Abstract
PT XYZ adalah salah satu industri yang bergerak dalam bidang manufaktur keramik ubin dengan kapasitas produksi 80.000 m2/hari. Keramik diproduksi melalui berbagai proses yang dapat menghasilkan bahan pencemar, terutama partikulat yang terdispersi dalam udara. Salah satu proses yang menghasilkan partikulat di PT XYZ adalah proses squaring. Penanganan partikulat dari proses squaring di PT XYZ dilakukan melalui instalasi peralatan paket bag filter sebagai dust collector. Namun, karena kurangnya pertimbangan teknis dan manajemen secara spesifik, sistem dust collector dan perangkat pendukung dari proses squaring keramik ini perlu dilakukan evaluasi kinerja.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari perusahaan, meliputi spesifikasi teknis alat dan layout gambar serta dilakukan pula pengukuran dimensi melalui pengukuran secara langsung. Selain itu, dilakukan pula wawancara pada perwakilan perusahaan untuk mengetahui sistem manajemen dust collector yang sudah dilakukan. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis perhitungan berdasarkan standar US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) dan literatur terkait. Berdasarkan data eksisting, dilakukan evaluasi dengan metode Root Cause Analysis (RCA) melalui proses identifikasi dan analisis masalah potensial, identifikasi akar masalah melalui fishbone diagram serta perumusan rekomendasi.
Hasil validasi teknis menunjukkan ketidaksesuaian pada parameter kecepatan tangkap tudung isap sebesar 457,015 fpm, kecepatan transpor dalam sistem saluran udara secara berurutan sebesar 3086,164 fpm; 1826,133 fpm; 1543,084 fpm; 1693,369 fpm; 1468,728 fpm, A/Cnet sebesar 4,799 CFM/ft2 waktu operasional pulse jet bag filter selama 4 detik, kapasitas fans sebesar 41526-71726 m3/jam dan 4729-3316 Pa, kecepatan keluar cerobong sebesar 1246,063 fpm dan ketinggian cerobong yakni 1 m. Selanjutnya, dilakukan evaluasi menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis melalui fishbone diagram. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi akar-akar masalah dirumuskan rekomendasi berupa modifikasi teknis pada sistem bag filter dan perangkat pendukungnya, standardisasi cerobong, instalasi alat pengukuran/pengujian, penerapan Sistem Operasional Prosedur (SOP), standardisasi manajemen dokumen spesifikasi teknis dan peningkatan kompetensi pekerja.

PT XYZ is one of the industries engaged in the manufacturing of tile ceramics with a production capacity of 80,000 m2/day. Ceramics are produced through a variety of processes that can produce pollutants, especially particulate matter that is dispersed in the air. One of the processes that produces particulates at PT XYZ is the squaring process. The handling of particulates from the squaring process at PT XYZ is carried out through the installation of bag filter package equipment as a dust collector. However, due to the lack of specific technical and management considerations, the dust collector system and supporting devices of the ceramic squaring process need to be evaluated for performance.
The research was carried out by collecting secondary data obtained from the company, including the technical specifications of the tool and image layout and also carrying out dimensional measurements through direct measurements. In addition, interviews were also conducted with company representatives to find out about the dust collector management system that had been carried out. Data processing is carried out by conducting calculation analysis based on US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) standards and related literature. Based on existing data, evaluation is carried out using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method, which involves identifying and analysing potential problems, determining the root cause through fishbone diagrams, and formulating recommendations.
The results of the technical validation showed a discrepancy in the parameters of the intake hood catch speed of 457,015 fpm, the transport speed in the air duct system was sequentially 3086,164 fpm; 1826,133 fpm; 1543,084 fpm; 1693,369 fpm; 1468.728 fpm, A/Cnet was 4.799 CFM/ft2, pulse jet bag filter operating time for 4 seconds, fan capacity was 41526-71726 m3/h and 4729-3316 Pa. The stack exit velocity is 1246,063 fpm and the height of the stack is 1 m. Furthermore, an evaluation was conducted using the Root Cause Analysis method using fishbone diagrams. Based on the results of the identification of the root of the problem, recommendations were formulated in the form of technical modifications to the bag filter system and its supporting devices, chimney standardization, installation of measurement/testing equipment, implementation of Operational Procedure System (SOP), standardization of technical specification document management and improvement of worker competence.
