Abstract

Tekno Sains Academy (TSA), salah satu unit bisnis PT. ITS Tekno Sains yang didirikan pada tahun 2018, memiliki visi untuk menghasilkan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang unggul dan kompeten melalui pelatihan dan sertifikasi. TSA berperan sebagai wadah yang membantu para peserta pelatihan mengembangkan kemampuan di bidang akademik maupun non-akademik sesuai dengan standar kompetensi yang diakui. Namun, berdasarkan wawancara yang telah dilakukan dengan pihak TSA pada tanggal 10 September 2024, saat ini TSA masih mengandalkan sistem manual dalam mengelola pelatihan dan sertifikasi, yang menyebabkan berbagai tantangan, seperti efisiensi rendah, manajemen data tidak optimal, serta kendala dalam pelacakan pendaftar pelatihan dan sertifikasi. Melihat tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Tekno Sains Academy diperlukan pengembangan sistem manajemen pelatihan yang terintegrasi, atau Training Management System (TMS). Sistem ini telah dikembangkan menggunakan metode User-entered Design. Tujuan penggunaan metode ini untuk memastikan perancangan antarmuka sistem yang dibangun berfokus pada pengguna dengan cara menggali kebutuhan setiap peran pengguna dan melibatkan pengguna dalam proses perancangan desain. Pengembangan antarmuka TMS dilakukan melalui tiga iterasi usability testing dan evaluasi heuristik untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dan mengukur kesesuaian dengan sepuluh prinsip heuristik. Penilaian System Usability Scale (SUS) menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan skor trainee naik dari 87,19 menjadi 94,5 (desktop) dan 95,7 (mobile), serta skor administrator dari 95,83 menjadi 98,13.

Tekno Sains Academy (TSA), one of the business units of PT. ITS Tekno Sains, was established in 2018 with the vision of producing excellent and competent human resources through training and certification programs. TSA serves as a platform that helps training participants develop their skills in both academic and non-academic fields in accordance with recognized competency standards. However, based on an interview conducted with TSA on September 10, 2024, it was found that TSA still relies on a manual system for managing training and certification. This reliance leads to several challenges, such as low efficiency, suboptimal data management, and difficulties in tracking training and certification registrants. Considering these challenges, there is a need to develop an integrated Training Management System (TMS). This system was developed using the user-centered design methodology. The purpose of using this methodology was to ensure that the system's user interface design was user-focused by identifying the needs of each user role and involving users throughout the design process. The Training Management System (TMS) interface design was evaluated through three iterations of usability testing and heuristic evaluation to identify issues and assess compliance with ten heuristic principles. Additionally, the System Usability Scale (SUS) scores showed significant improvement, with the trainee users score increasing from 87.19 to 94.5 (desktop) and 95.7 (mobile), and the administrator users score rising from 95.83 to 98.13.
