Abstract

Three phase induction motors are commonly used in industries such as manufacturing and transportation. But in real conditions, these motors often have problems such as changes in speed and load that can cause various kinds of problems such as changes in current and torque, increased temperature, and changes in slip that cause differences between the rotor's rotating magnetic field speed in the stator and rotor speed. With these problems, a performance test is needed on the motor so that its reliability can be maintained. In this final project, the V/f control method is utilized for the performance test of a three-phase induction motor. This performance test is generated from a working motor that produces parameters such as current, voltage, speed, and so on. Based on the data obtained, a performance prediction is needed to know how the stability of the motor using Long Short Term Memory (LSTM). The use of V/f control as a performance test is very influential on speed which is always directly proportional to frequency even though it is added with a load. Changes in frequency values also have an impact on motor efficiency. The smallest efficiency result is 63% and the largest reaches 99%. Predictions made using LSTM on the number of layers depend on the amount of data obtained. Performance prediction using the LSTM method can be very good in predicting because the prediction results are accurate because of the MSE value approach 0.
