Abstract

Indonesia saat ini berada dalam periode bonus demografi, dimana populasi usia produktif lebih besar dibandingkan usia non-produktif. Kondisi ini memberikan peluang besar untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui penciptaan kesempatan kerja. Namun, jika tidak dimanfaatkan secara optimal, bonus demografi justru dapat meningkatkan angka pengangguran. Dalam konteks ini, sektor industri pengolahan memiliki peran strategis karena kontribusinya yang signifikan terhadap PDB, penyerapan tenaga kerja, serta keterkaitan dengan sektor lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi struktur input-output sektor industri pengolahan, (2) menghitung efek pengganda (multiplier effect), serta (3) menganalisis keterkaitan ke depan (forward linkage) dan keterkaitan ke belakang (backward linkage) sektor industri pengolahan. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Input-Output yang bersumber dari data BPS 2016 dan 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor industri pengolahan memiliki nilai output domestik, struktur permintaan, dan nilai tambah bruto yang relatif tinggi di tahun 2016 dan 2020. Lalu untuk nilai pengganda output, pendapatan, dan tenaga kerja pada tahun 2016 dan 2020 sektor ini mencatat nilai yang sangat tinggi namun terdapat penurunan pada tahun 2020 akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19 dan transisi teknologi. Selain itu, sektor ini memiliki nilai keterkaitan ke depan dan ke belakang yang lebih besar dari satu (>1), menunjukkan perannya sebagai sektor basis dengan dampak luas terhadap perekonomian nasional. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sektor industri pengolahan memiliki peran krusial dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi dan menyerap tenaga kerja pada era bonus demografi.

Indonesia is currently experiencing a demographic bonus period, where the productive age population is larger than the non-productive age population. This condition provides a great opportunity to boost economic growth through job creation. However, if not utilized optimally, the demographic bonus could actually increase unemployment rates. In this context, the manufacturing sector plays a strategic role due to its significant contribution to GDP, employment absorption, and interconnections with other sectors. This study aims to (1) identify the input-output structure of the manufacturing sector, (2) calculate the multiplier effect, and (3) analyze the forward linkages and backward linkages of the manufacturing sector. The analytical approach used in this study is input-output analysis based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for 2016 and 2020. The results of the study show that the manufacturing sector has relatively high domestic output, demand structure, and gross value added in 2016 and 2020. Furthermore, the output, income, and labor multiplier values in 2016 and 2020 were very high, but there was a decline in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and technological transition. Furthermore, this sector has forward and backward linkages greater than one (>1), indicating its role as a foundational sector with broad impacts on the national economy. From these results, it can be concluded that the manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in driving economic growth and absorbing labor during the demographic dividend era.
