Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan metode National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) dalam proses digital forensic pada perangkat Android, guna meningkatkan validitas dan keandalan investigasi mobile forensic. Studi kasus difokuskan pada perangkat Samsung SM-A035F yang terlibat dalam dugaan tindak pidana perdagangan orang dan pelanggaran terhadap perlindungan pekerja migran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan NIST SP 800-86 dengan empat tahap utama: pengumpulan (collection), pemeriksaan (examination), analisis (analysis), dan pelaporan (reporting), serta didukung oleh perangkat Cellebrite UFED 4PC dan perangkat lunak Cellebrite Physical Analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode NIST mampu menjaga integritas bukti digital dan menghasilkan data yang sah secara hukum. Proses analisis berhasil mengungkap percakapan, dokumen, dan metadata yang mendukung indikasi perekrutan ilegal. Validitas bukti diperkuat melalui verifikasi silang dengan hasil dari Laboratorium Forensik Polda Jawa Timur, yang menunjukkan kesesuaian artefak secara isi, struktur, dan hash value. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode NIST dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam konteks akademik maupun praktik profesional untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas dan validitas dalam investigasi forensik digital pada perangkat Android.

This study aims to implement the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) method in digital forensic processes on Android devices to enhance the validity and reliability of mobile forensic investigations. The case study focuses on a Samsung SM-A035F device involved in suspected human trafficking and violations of migrant worker protection laws. The research adopts the NIST SP 800-86 framework, encompassing four main stages: collection, examination, analysis, and reporting. The process is supported by Cellebrite UFED 4PC and Cellebrite Physical Analyzer software. The results demonstrate that applying the NIST method maintains the integrity of digital evidence and produces data that is legally admissible. The forensic analysis successfully uncovered conversations, documents, and metadata that support indications of illegal recruitment. The validity of the findings was strengthened through cross-verification with results from the East Java Regional Police Forensic Laboratory, confirming consistency in content, structure, and hash values. This study concludes that the NIST method can be effectively applied in both academic and professional contexts to improve accountability and evidential validity in digital forensic investigations on Android devices.
