Abstract
======================================================================================================================================
Alzheimer's disease is a form of dementia that results in a progressive decline in cognitive function and memory. In Indonesia, the challenge of managing Alzheimer's is complex due to low public awareness, with 86.3% of the population being unfamiliar with the terms dementia or Alzheimer, leading to delayed diagnosis and social stigma. This condition not only impacts patients but also places a heavy burden on caregivers. Given these challenges, early screening is necessary using instruments such as the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS), and Simple Elderly Screening (SKILAS). The development of mobile technology enables the screening and health management process to be accessed independently to support patients and caregivers. This final project aims to develop a Healthcare Intelligent System application that can support Alzheimer's patients and caregivers in Indonesia through screening, education, and daily care management features. The method used in this final project includes a literature study, requirements gathering and analysis, functional specification documentation, user interface design, frontend application development with Flutter and backend integration using Firebase, as well as internal testing and evaluation through a pilot study & usability testing. All of these methodological stages are designed to cover the entire development process, from identifying user needs to application validation by users. The output of this final project is a mobile application named MedikA, which has features to support the early detection and prevention of Alzheimer's. These features include the digitalization of screening tests such as MMSE, GDS, and SKILAS, simple brain games, activity schedule reminders, health information, brain MRI image classification, and a general health dashboard. The application was tested internally and directly with users. Evaluation results using a questionnaire adapted from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) show that the application was well-received by users, assessed on 4 aspects: usefulness, ease of use, attitude, and intention to use. This is evidenced by the average scores obtained, including a Perceived Usefulness of 3.92, a Perceived Ease of Use of 4.12, an Attitude Toward Using of 3.96, and a Behavioral Intention of 3.98, on a 1-5 scale.
