Abstract
East Surabaya is experiencing a significant population surge, leading to an increased demand for adequate healthcare facilities. This aligns with the national strategic plan emphasizing the importance of enhancing healthcare facilities across various regions. Hospitals are categorized as essential buildings, and Indonesia's location at the convergence of active tectonic plates makes it prone to earthquakes. Therefore, building designs must meet specific requirements, including earthquake resistance. To enhance earthquake resistance, the proposed design utilizes a Composite Steel-Concrete Structure with a Buckling Restrained Braced Frame (BRBF) system. Composite structures combine steel and concrete to create stronger, lighter, and more efficient buildings compared to conventional concrete structures. BRBFs offer improved seismic performance compared to conventional braced frames by preventing buckling and tension.
In this final project, the Eka Candrarini Regional Hospital building, which previously used reinforced concrete structure with two main towers, Tower A with 8 floors and Tower B with 9 floors, will be modified into a single tower with 20 floors using composite structure and BRBF system with an inverted V-braced configuration. The literature review used in this final project refers to SNI 1726:2019, SNI 1727:2020, SNI 1729:2020, SNI 2847:2019, SNI 7860:2020, SNI 7972:2020, AISC 341-16, ACI 318-19, textbooks and journals related to composite structures and BRBF systems. The design results will be presented in the form of drawings.

Surabaya Timur mengalami lonjakan populasi signifikan yang menyebabkan peningkatan permintaan akan fasilitas kesehatan yang memadai. Hal ini sejalan dengan rencana strategis nasional yang menekankan pentingnya peningkatan fasilitas kesehatan di berbagai wilayah. Rumah sakit dikategorikan sebagai bangunan penting. Lokasi Indonesia di pertemuan lempeng tektonik aktif membuatnya rentan terhadap gempa bumi. Sehingga, perencanaan gedung harus memiliki beberapa kondisi batas seperti struktur bangunan mampu bertahan terhadap beban gempa. Untuk meningkatkan ketahanan gempa, desain yang diusulkan menggunakan Struktur baja beton komposit dengan sistem Buckling Restrained Braced Frames. Struktur komposit menggabungkan baja dan beton untuk menciptakan bangunan yang lebih kuat, lebih ringan, dan lebih efisien daripada bangunan beton konvensional. Sedangkan Buckling Restrained Braced Frame menawarkan kinerja seismik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan rangka bresing konvensional dengan mencegah tekuk serta tariknya.
Dalam tugas akhir ini, Gedung RSUD Eka Candrarini yang sebelumnya menggunakan struktur beton bertulang yang memiliki dua tower utama, Tower A dengan 8 lantai dan Tower B dengan 9 lantai akan dimodifikasi menjadi satu tower dengan 20 lantai menggunakan struktur komposit dan sistem BRBF menggunakan konfigurasi inverted V-braced. Studi literatur yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini mengacu pada SNI 1726:2019, SNI 1727:2020, SNI 1729:2020, SNI 2847:2019, SNI 7860:2020, SNI 7972:2020, AISC 341-16. ACI 318-19, buku ajar dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan struktur komposit dan sistem BRBF. Hasil perancangan akan dituangkan dalam bentuk gambar.
