Abstract
Pupuk kalium nitrat merupakan pupuk yang dihasilkan dari
mereaksikan kalium klorida dengan natrium nitrat. Pupuk kalium nitrat
ini akan didirikan di daerah Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Pabrik ini
mengandung komposisi produk sebesar 14% N dan 46% K.
Pabrik pupuk kalium nitrat dengan proses granulasi melalui 8
tahap. Tahap pertama yaitu persiapan bahan baku. Tahap kedua yaitu
kalium klorida direaksikan dengan natrium nitrat dalam proses
conversion process untuk membentuk kalium nitrat dan atrium klorida.
Tahap ketiga yaitu tahap pemisahan Dimana terjadi pemisahan sifat fisik
antara kalium nitrat dengan natrium klorida. Tahap keempat yaitu proses
kristalisasi yang diperoleh dengan cara membentuk kalium nitrat menjadi
kristal. Tahap kelima yaitu proses granulasi untuk membentuk butiran.
Tahap keenam yaitu proses drying untuk mengurangi kadar air kalium
nitrat. Tahap ketujuh yaitu proses pendinginan yang dihasilkan dari
proses drying. Tahap terakhir yaitu proses screening untuk mendapatkan
ukuran yang uniform dan pengepakan.
Pabrik pupuk bekerja secara kontinyu dan beroperasi selama
330 hari/tahun dengan kapasitas produksi 6000 ton/tahun. Bahan baku
yang dibutuhkan sebesar 23.595 kg/hari dengan bahan baku pendukung
Coating Oil. Kebutuhan utilitasnya adalah air sanitasi, air umpan boiler,
air proses dan air make up masing-masing sebesar 375.012;13,15; 0,137;
6.040,486 m3/jam. Limbah yang dihasilkan dari industri ini yaitu mother
liquor dan Debu.

Fertilizer potassium nitrate is fertilizer resulting from reacting
potassium chloride with sodium nitrate.Fertilizer potassium nitrate this will
established in the Lamongan, East Java.This factory products containing
composition rate of 14 % N and 46 % K.
Potassium nitrate fertilizer factory with process granulation through 8
stages. The first stage of the preparation of the raw material. The second stage
i.e. potassium chloride is reacted with sodium nitrate in the process of
conversion process to form potassium nitrate and chloride atrium. The third
stage, namely the separation of stages in which the separation occurs between
the physical properties of potassium nitrate with sodium chloride. The fourth
stage is the process of crystallization is obtained by means of forming potassium
nitrate into crystals. The fifth stage is the process of granulation to form
granules. The sixth stage is the process of drying to reduce the moisture content
of potassium nitrate. The seventh stage is cooling process resulting from the
process of drying. The last stage of the screening process to get uniform sizes
and packaging.
Fertilizer factory work continuously and operates over 330 days/year
with a production capacity of 6000 tons/year. The raw materials needed for
23.595 kg/day with raw materials supporting Oil Coating. Needs utilitasnya is
the water sanitation, boiler feed water, process water and water make up the
respective registration 375.012; 13, 15; 0,137; 6040,486 m3/h. Wastes from this
industry i.e. the mother liquor and dust.
