Abstract

Based on its geographical location, Surabaya is an area located in a tectonically active zone and adjacent to the Kendeng fault system, making it vulnerable to earthquake shocks. This research was conducted in the area of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya which is dominated by alluvial deposits and soft soils that have the potential to amplify seismic waves, by conducting microtremor measurements at 28 points using the HVSR (Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio) method and several horizontal components to analyze the influence of wave propagation direction on the shape of the HVSR curve. From the analysis, the parameter values of natural frequency (f0) of 1.26 Hz to 3.67 Hz, amplification factor (A0) of 4.11 to 8.36, dominant period (Tdom) of 0.27 sec to 0.79 sec, and soil susceptibility index (Kg) of 5.17 s²/cm to 55.42 s²/cm were obtained. The results show that the 0° angle in the horizontal directional energy component produces the sharpest and most stable HVSR curve compared to the other horizontal components. Based on the microzoning map, areas that are classified as prone to strong shaking due to earthquakes include the Environmental Engineering area, Graha ITS, Business Management, STP, Robotics, Interior Design, Medicine, Rear BRIN, Marine Transportation Engineering, Development Studies, ITS Stadium, Perumdos block T Front and Rear, Perumdos block J, Perumdos block N, Electric Car Research, and Rear Gate. Meanwhile, areas that are relatively more stable against shocks are BRIN Front, Central Canteen, Reidi, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, PLN Futsal Field, Dormitory Front and Back, Civil Engineering Front and Back, and Perumdos block V.
