Abstract

Tanjung Priok Port is the largest port in Indonesia, located in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The port is currently undertaking a revitalization plan for the former Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) 2. The planned vessels to operate at the Former JICT-2 Wharf are container ships with a maximum capacity of 30,000 DWT and a maximum draft of 10.7 meters. Consequently, the berth basin depth will be increased from -9 meters LWS (Low Water Spring) to -12 meters LWS.To ensure the structural stability and safety of the wharf after the development, the design of a breasting dolphin foundation is carried out. The breasting dolphin foundation is designed to withstand a berthing force of 69.85 tons. Based on the design, the dimensions of the breasting dolphin pile cap are 6000 × 5500 mm with a thickness of 1500 mm. The piles used are SPP (Steel Pipe Piles), with a penetration depth of 10 meters into the soil and a total pile length of 21 meters. The pile configuration consists of 6 battered piles (inclination 1:6) and 4 vertical piles. The fender system designed to absorb the berthing force consists of Super Cone 900H type fenders, installed at 15,000 mm intervals. The bollard selected is a Tee Bollard with a mooring capacity of 50 tons. The results of this design are expected to serve as a reference for future planning and implementation of similar projects.
