Abstract
Optimalisasi sistem kontrol otomatis pada alat pembuat biji plastik bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, mengurangi konsumsi energi, dan menghasilkan biji plastik berkualitas tinggi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi meliputi pengaturan suhu yang kurang optimal, kecepatan putaran sekrup yang tidak sesuai, serta belum diterapkannya sistem kontrol otomatis yang presisi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan solusi berupa sistem kontrol berbasis mikrokontroler dan sensor suhu (termokopel) guna mengatur suhu pemanas dan RPM motor secara otomatis. Sistem ini diuji dengan berbagai variasi parameter suhu atas dan bawah serta kecepatan motor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi optimal dicapai pada suhu atas 250°C, suhu bawah 180°C, dan kecepatan putaran sekrup (RPM) sebesar 35. Kombinasi ini menghasilkan biji plastik dengan bentuk dan ukuran yang konsisten, serta efisiensi energi tertinggi dengan konsumsi daya sebesar 1,814 kWh dan kapasitas produksi sebanyak 0,0927 kg/jam. Penerapan sistem kontrol otomatis terbukti mampu meningkatkan kualitas produk, mengurangi kesalahan produksi, dan mendukung prinsip produksi yang ramah lingkungan

Optimizing the automatic control system in a plastic pellet machine aims to increase production efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and produce high-quality pellets. The main problems encountered include suboptimal temperature settings, inappropriate screw rotation speeds, and the lack of a precise automatic control system. To address these issues, this study implemented a solution in the form of a microcontroller-based control system and a temperature sensor (thermocouple) to automatically regulate the heater temperature and motor RPM. This system was tested with various upper and lower temperature parameters and motor speed. The results showed that the optimal configuration was achieved at an upper temperature of 250°C, a lower temperature of 180°C, and a screw rotation speed (RPM) of 35. This combination produced plastic pellets with consistent shape and size, as well as the highest energy efficiency with a power consumption of 1.814 kWh and a production capacity of 0.0927 kg/hour. The implementation of the automatic control system has been proven to improve product quality, reduce production errors, and support environmentally friendly production principles.
