Abstract

Setelah mengintegrasikan semua data, laju imbuhan air tanah diperkirakan.

Groundwater in karst areas has the potential to support water supply during the dry season, especially in Pringkuku District, Pacitan, which is one of the areas with the worst drought every year. The Pacitan karst area has complex hydrogeological characteristics, where karst groundwater is challenging to predict due to the dissolution process of carbonate rocks, which creates cavities and unique yet unpredictable groundwater flow systems. Karst studies and management are important because karst areas have groundwater potential stored in karst aquifers. To optimize groundwater utilization and management, estimating groundwater recharge is important. This study aims to evaluate the groundwater potential in the Pringkuku Pacitan karst using the APLIS and Modified-APLIS indices, as well as the VLF-EM method. Classification is carried out to determine the potential groundwater area using several geohydrogeological parameters that affect groundwater recharge, including altitude (A), slope gradient (P), lithology (L), infiltration zone (I), and soil type (S). After integrating all data, the groundwater recharge rate is estimated. The Very Low Frequency-Electromagnetic (VLF-EM) geophysical method was applied to determine the subsurface conditions in the Pringkuku karst. The VLF-EM method is used to identify subsurface geological structures, such as rock faults and fractures, related to karst groundwater. The results showed that the groundwater recharge rate estimated by the APLIS method was a minimum, maximum, and average aquifer of 13.3%, 80%, and 49.02%, while the Modified APLIS method produced a minimum water recharge rate of 1%, a maximum of 80% with an average annual value of 45.73%. The mapping of groundwater potential zones in the Pringkuku karst area is divided into four categories: very low, low, medium, and high groundwater potential zones. The study area is dominated by a high groundwater potential zone located in the south-western part of Pringkuku. These results are supported by the VLF-EM results, which show that the area is composed of limestone with low resistivity (0-500 Ωm). Limestone is characterized by cavities and high permeability, allowing water to flow more easily. The VLF-EM method successfully identified faults that can generally act as pathways for water flow to the subsurface..
