Abstract

Dalam dunia transportasi, pesawat sering menjadi pilihan utama konsumen karena waktu perjalanannya yang relatif singkat dalam satu kali penerbangan. Keunggulan ini tidak terlepas dari peran peralatan penunjang yang digunakan selama pesawat berada di darat. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) PT GMF AeroAsia meluncurkan purwarupa inovasi Electric Vehicle Remote Control (EV RC) Airplane Pushback Tractor. EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor dirancang dengan ukuran yang ringkas agar mampu bermanuver dengan leluasa di hanggar yang padat dan sibuk. Karena desainnya yang kompak, komponen-komponen yang digunakan dipilih dan dirancang agar memiliki ukuran sekecil mungkin. Salah satu komponen utama yang dibahas dalam tugas akhir ini adalah gearbox, yang dituntut memiliki ukuran ringkas dan mampu mentransmisikan daya dari motor sebesar 15 kW. Namun, desain gearbox dengan spesifikasi tersebut belum tersedia di pasaran, sehingga diperlukan perancangan khusus yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, diusulkanlah perancangan gearbox untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sistem penggerak tersebut. Proses desain diawali dengan menentukan dan menghitung spesifikasi dari setiap komponen gearbox. Komponen seperti poros dan bearing ditentukan menggunakan metode perhitungan elemen mesin. Sementara itu, komponen sun gear, planet gear, dan ring gear dianalisis kekuatan strukturnya menggunakan simulasi dengan perangkat lunak ANSYS. Hasil perancangan in-wheel fixed gearbox mencakup spesifikasi dari planet gear dengan 18 dan 15 gigi, ring gear dengan 54 gigi, sun gear dengan 18 dan 24 gigi, poros output dengan diameter 80 mm, bearing, seal, serta sistem pelumasan. Sistem pelumasan yang digunakan adalah splash lubrication dengan viskositas 40 cSt atau 5,5 Engler Degree, dan ketinggian pelumas 5 mm dari addendum circle pada sun gear. Sebagai hasil akhir dari penelitian ini, Detailed Engineering Drawing (DED) akan dibuat berdasarkan standar ISO. Diharapkan, hasil desain ini dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan riset purwarupa EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor. =================================================================================================================================
In the world of transportation, airplanes are often the primary choice for consumers due to their relatively short travel time in a single flight. This advantage is supported by the role of ground support equipment used while the aircraft is on the ground. To meet this need, the state-owned enterprise PT GMF AeroAsia has launched an innovative prototype: the Electric Vehicle Remote Control (EV RC) Airplane Pushback Tractor. The EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor is designed with a compact form to enable easy maneuvering within crowded and busy hangars. Due to its compact design, the components used must be carefully selected and designed to be as small as possible. One of the main components discussed in this final project is the gearbox, which is required to be compact while capable of transmitting power from a 15 kW motor. However, a gearbox with such specifications is not readily available on the market, thus requiring a custom design tailored to the needs of the EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor. Based on this background, a gearbox design is proposed to fulfill the needs of the propulsion system. The design process begins with determining and calculating the specifications for each gearbox component. Components such as shafts and bearings are determined using machine element calculation methods. Meanwhile, structural strength analyses of the sun gear, planet gear, and ring gear are carried out through simulations using ANSYS software. The resulting in-wheel fixed gearbox design includes specifications such as planet gears with 18 and 15 teeth, a ring gear with 54 teeth, sun gears with 18 and 24 teeth, an output shaft with a diameter of 80 mm, bearings, seals, and a lubrication system. The lubrication method used is splash lubrication, with a viscosity of 40 cSt or 5.5 Engler degrees, and a lubricant level 5 mm above the sun gear's addendum circle. As the final outcome of this study, a Detailed Engineering Drawing (DED) will be produced in accordance with ISO standards. It is expected that the design results can contribute to the development of the EV RC Airplane Pushback Tractor prototype research.
