Abstract
Laporan ini merupakan hasil magang industri yang dilaksanakan di PT PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS UP2W VI Surabaya selama empat bulan, dari Januari hingga Mei 2024. Fokus utama kegiatan magang adalah melakukan studi numerik menggunakan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) untuk menganalisis unjuk performa impeller ID Fan sudut 115° PLTU Holtekamp dengan kapasitas 98.100 m³/h. Simulasi dilakukan pada tiga variasi jumlah sudu yaitu 6, 12, dan 18. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jumlah sudu 12 memberikan performa paling optimal dengan tekanan total yang stabil dan efisiensi aliran yang tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keseimbangan antara jumlah sudu yang cukup untuk mengarahkan aliran dengan baik tanpa menyebabkan turbulensi berlebih atau tekanan balik yang besar. Selain melakukan simulasi teknis, penulis juga ditempatkan di beberapa divisi seperti perencanaan, mekanikal, quality control, dan K3. Pengalaman ini memperkaya pemahaman praktis mengenai proses perencanaan produksi, pembuatan gambar teknik menggunakan SolidWorks, simulasi dengan ANSYS, serta penerapan reverse engineering di industri ketenagalistrikan. Magang ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman teknis dan soft skills mahasiswa dalam lingkungan kerja nyata.

This report presents the results of a four-month industrial internship conducted at PT PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS UP2W VI Surabaya from January to May 2024. The main focus was a numerical study using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to evaluate the performance of a 115° ID Fan impeller at Holtekamp Steam Power Plant with a capacity of 98,100 m³/h. Simulations were conducted for three blade count variations: 6, 12, and 18. The results indicated that 12 blades provided the best performance in terms of stable total pressure and high flow efficiency. This was due to an optimal balance—enough blades to guide airflow effectively without inducing excessive turbulence or back pressure.In addition to technical analysis, the intern was involved in planning, mechanical, quality control, and occupational health & safety divisions. This experience enriched the intern’s practical knowledge in production planning, technical drawing using SolidWorks, simulation with ANSYS, and reverse engineering implementation in the power generation industry. The internship successfully enhanced both technical expertise and soft skills relevant to the professional engineering environment.
