Abstract
Area Pertemuan PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya merupakan fasilitas penting yang digunakan untuk mendukung berbagai kegiatan, baik internal perusahaan maupun kegiatan eksternal yang melibatkan masyarakat umum. Peran strategis area ini menjadikannya sebagai salah satu sarana yang mampu mencerminkan citra perusahaan di mata publik. Namun, kondisi eksisting area pertemuan masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, seperti kebutuhan ruang multifungsi yang belum terpenuhi optimal, pengaturan ruang yang kurang fleksibel, desain interior yang terkesan kuno dan monoton, serta fasilitas pendukung yang belum maksimal. Permasalahan tersebut berdampak pada kurangnya kenyamanan pengguna serta belum tercapainya kesan profesional yang sesuai dengan citra perusahaan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan redesain interior area pertemuan dengan menerapkan konsep fleksibilitas ruang dan pendekatan modern kontemporer. Konsep fleksibilitas ruang dipilih karena mampu memberikan kemudahan dalam pengaturan konfigurasi sesuai berbagai kebutuhan acara, sedangkan pendekatan modern kontemporer diharapkan dapat menghadirkan suasana yang segar, elegan, dan sesuai tren desain masa kini tanpa menghilangkan kesan profesional. Penerapan kedua konsep ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna, memaksimalkan fungsi ruang, serta memperkuat citra PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya sebagai perusahaan modern yang peduli terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik.

The Meeting Area of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya is an important facility used to support various activities, both internal to the company and external activities involving the general public. The strategic role of this area makes it one of the facilities that can reflect the company's image in the eyes of the public. However, the existing condition of the meeting area still faces various problems, such as multifunctional space needs that have not been met optimally, less flexible space arrangements, interior design that seems old-fashioned and monotonous, and supporting facilities that are not maximized. These problems have an impact on the lack of user comfort and have not achieved a professional impression in accordance with the company's image. Based on these problems, it is necessary to redesign the interior of the meeting area by applying the concept of space flexibility and a modern contemporary approach. The concept of space flexibility was chosen because it is able to provide convenience in setting configurations according to various event needs, while the contemporary modern approach is expected to present a fresh, elegant atmosphere, and according to current design trends without losing a professional impression. The application of these two concepts is expected to improve user comfort, maximize the function of space, and strengthen the image of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya as a modern company that cares about the quality of public services.
