Abstract
Pada Line 2 AMB PT GS Battery Semarang, kapasitas produksi baterai mencapai kurang lebih 800 unit per hari. Namun demikian, line produksi tersebut masih mengalami Waktu breakdown total sebesar 11.152 menit, di mana 33% di antaranya disebabkan oleh gangguan pada proses Heat Sealing Machine, dengan rata-rata downtime sekitar 30 menit. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, dirancanglah mesin pre-heating yang dilengkapi dengan system kontrol suhu berbasis metode PID yang diatur pada suhu 310°C. Implementasi sistem control PID pada mesin pre-heating terbukti mampu mempercepat proses pre-heating dari sebelumnya 15 menit menjadi 13 menit, tanpa mengurangi kestabilan suhu yang dibutuhkan untuk proses Heat Sealing. Penerapan ini berkontribusi dalam mengurangi waktu breakdown dan meningkatkan efisiensi produksi pada Line 2 AMB.

At Line 2 AMB of PT GS Battery Semarang, the production capacity reaches approximately 800 battery units per day. However, the production line still experiences a total breakdown time of 11,152 minutes, with 33% of this downtime caused by issues in the Heat Sealing Machine, averaging around 30 minutes per incident. To address this problem, a preheating machine was developed using a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) temperature control system, set at 310°C. The implementation of the PID control system on the pre-heating machine successfully reduced the pre-heating time from 15 minutes to 13 minutes while maintaining the required temperature stability for the Heat Sealing process. This application contributes to reducing breakdown time and enhancing production efficiency on Line 2 AMB
