Abstract
========================================================================================================================================
PT XYZ is committed to sustainability through its Sustainability Roadmap 2030, including in the procurement process for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) suppliers. One of the critical materials involved is castable refractory, a heat-resistant lining used to protect essential structures such as plates in the kiln, preheater, and cooler from extreme temperatures. In current practice, the selection of castable suppliers at PT XYZ is still carried out using a conventional approach. Technical evaluations mainly rely on supplier reputation, equipment availability, work experience, pricing, and lead time, without explicitly considering the supplier’s contribution to sustainability aspects. This indicates a lack of optimal knowledge transfer regarding sustainability principles to the procurement unit, which contradicts the company’s Sustainability Roadmap 2030 commitment. Therefore, research on sustainable suppliers in supporting corporate sustainability is highly relevant. This study aims to evaluate supplier performance based on sustainability aspects (environmental, economic, and social) using the cut-off point method for sub-criteria selection, Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) for weighting, and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) for supplier ranking. The results show that supplier S3 (SUPPLIER C) achieved the highest preference score of 0.9784 and was selected as the top priority supplier. This was followed by supplier S2 (SUPPLIER B) with a score of 0.4682 and S5 (SUPPLIER E) with a score of 0.4097. The last two were S4 (SUPPLIER D) and S1 (SUPPLIER A) with preference scores of 0.2740 and 0.0166, respectively. A sensitivity analysis with five scenarios was conducted to test the robustness of the results, showing that SUPPLIER C consistently ranked first. Further analysis revealed that the most sensitive sub-criteria were E21 (Production Quality) and S12 (Health and Safety Incidents). These findings can serve as a basis for making castable supplier selection decisions that support the company’s sustainability strategy.
