Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyse the success of implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in the Auto Dispatch System (ADS) migration project within mining operations at PT XYZ, with a focus on the five core SAFe competencies: The following subjects are to be addressed: technical agility, team agility, agile product delivery, enterprise solution delivery, and lean portfolio management (LPM). The Ewacspro ADS system, which was developed independently, replaced the legacy ADS Jigsaw system through a cutover process. Nevertheless, challenges pertaining to the validity of output data emerged, thereby providing the impetus for this research. Utilising a gap analysis approach, the study identified discrepancies between the actual and ideal conditions of SAFe implementation. The evaluation results indicate that the migration project achieved high scores in several key areas: The following factors were found to be conducive to the successful adoption of SAFe in supporting the migration process: Risk Management (4.14), Scrum Implementation Quality (4.10), Product Management (4.08), and Team Maturity (4.00). However, further development is required in the Technology Infrastructure aspect to achieve optimal performance, particularly with regard to network stability and system integration. From a scientific perspective, this research makes a significant contribution by developing a relevant SAFe evaluation model for large-scale system migration in the mining industry. The findings of the present study provide strategic guidance for management to enhance the effectiveness of SAFe implementation and to strengthen human resource development and technological infrastructure within the organisation.
