Abstract

Lembang, sebuah kawasan wisata unggulan di Jawa Barat yang terkenal dengan keindahan alam, udara sejuk, serta kekayaan budaya lokal setempat yang menarik banyak wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Bandung Barat (2022), tercatat sebanyak 2.202.146 orang yang berkunjung ke Lembang pada tahun 2021. Pertumbuhan industri pariwisata ini mendorong akan kebutuhan akomodasi penginapan yang nyaman dan menarik. Industri perhotelan di Lembang menghadirkan persaingan yang ketat, sehingga hotel – hotel tidak hanya dituntut untuk menyediakan fasilitas yang lengkap, namun juga harus mampu memberikan penglaman menginap yang menarik dan berkesan untuk menarik wisatawan. Hotel XYZ merupakan sebuah hotel butik yang mengadopsi standarisasi hotel bintang tiga yang direncanakan akan dibangun pada tahun 2025, berlokasi di tengah perbukitan Lembang. Desain interior hotel yang menarik menjadi salah satu strategi untuk menarik minat pengunjung Hotel XYZ. Tema “Embracing Lembang” diusung menjadi tema desain utama yang akan diterapkan pada perancangan interior Hotel XYZ, yang mengangkat keindahan alam serta kekayaan budaya lokal dalam gaya kontemporer. Konsep tersebut muncul dari pendekatan desain kontekstual. Kombinasi material alami seperti kayu, batu alam, dan rotan dengan material modern diintegrasikan untuk menciptakan keseimbangan antara modernitas dan unsur lokal Lembang. Perancangan Hotel XYZ menggunakan metode design thinking yang mencakup tahapan pengumpulan data, seperti observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, hingga studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh data yang relevan dalam merancang interior Hotel XYZ. Hasil akhir dari perancangan ini adalah desain interior Hotel XYZ yang tidak hanya menjadi daya tarik utama bagi wisatawan, tetapi juga untuk memperkuat identitas hotel. Penerapan konsep “Embracing Lembang” dengan gaya kontemporer diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya saing Hotel XYZ di industri perhotelan Lembang, sekaligus berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan sektor pariwisata dengan melestarikan kekayaan alam serta budaya lokal Lembang kepada para wisatawan.

Lembang, a leading tourist area in West Java which is famous for its natural beauty, cool air, and rich local culture that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency of West Bandung Regency (2022), there were 2,202,146 people who visited Lembang in 2021. The growth of the tourism industry has driven the need for comfortable and attractive accommodation. The hotel industry in Lembang presents tight competition, so hotels are not only required to provide complete facilities, but must also be able to provide an interesting and memorable stay experience to attract tourists. Hotel XYZ is a boutique hotel that adopts the standardization of a three-star hotel which is planned to be built in 2025, located in the middle of the Lembang hills. The attractive interior design of the hotel is one of the strategies to attract visitors to Hotel XYZ. The theme “Embracing Lembang” is carried as the main design theme that will be applied to the interior design of Hotel XYZ, which highlights the natural beauty and rich local culture in a contemporary style. This concept emerged from a contextual design approach. The combination of natural materials such as wood, natural stone, and rattan with modern materials is integrated to create a balance between modernity and local elements of Lembang. The design of Hotel XYZ uses the design thinking method which includes stages of data collection, such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, to literature studies which aim to obtain relevant data in designing the interior of Hotel XYZ. The final result of this design is the interior design of Hotel XYZ which is not only the main attraction for tourists, but also to strengthen the identity of the hotel. The application of the concept of “Embracing Lembang” with a contemporary style is expected to increase the competitiveness of Hotel XYZ in the Lembang hotel industry, while contributing to the sustainability of the tourism sector by preserving the natural wealth and local culture of Lembang for tourists.
