Abstract

Meteran air digunakan untuk mengukur jumlah volume (m³) air yang digunakan. Namun, meteran air yang digunakan memiliki kelemahan seperti adanya kesalahan pembacaan, kurangnya transparansi biaya tagihan, dan tidak adanya pemantauan secara real-time. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan meteran air digital yang mampu mengukur volume air secara real-time untuk mempermudah dalam pencatatan dan mengetahui konsumsi air pada aplikasi. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem digitalisasi meteran air mekanik dengan cara menambahkan sensor TCRT5000 yang terintegrasi dengan ESP32 untuk mendeteksi putaran jarum pada display meteran air. Sensor TCRT5000 bekerja dengan baik saat mendeteksi jarum warna hitam pada jarak 0,2 – 12 mm dari jarum dan sensor kehilangan sensitivitas pada jarak 17 mm dari jarum. Jumlah deteksi jarum ini akan dikonversi menjadi volume air. ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler untuk data processing dan mengirim data ke internet. Jumlah deteksi jarum yang dihasilkan berbanding lurus terhadap volume air yang melewati meteran air. Didapatkan nilai meter kubik per deteksi adalah 0,001. Sensor TCRT5000 dalam mengukur volume memiliki akurasi sebesar 99,31%. Hasil pengujian sistem dan data logger yang dilakukan menghasilkan nilai akurasi pengukuran volume menggunakan sensor TCRT500 sebesar 99,6%. Sistem meteran air digital ini dirancang dengan desain yang compact untuk memudahkan instalasi dan pemeliharaan.

Water meters are used to measure the total volume (m³) of water used. However, the water meters used have weaknesses such as reading errors, lack of transparency of billing costs, and no real-time monitoring. Therefore, a digital water meter is needed that is able to measure the volume of water in real-time to facilitate recording and knowing the water consumption in the application. This research develops a mechanical water meter digitization system by adding a TCRT5000 sensor integrated with ESP32 to detect needle rotation on the water meter display. The TCRT5000 sensor works well when detecting a black needle at a distance of 0.2 - 12 mm from the needle and the sensor loses sensitivity at a distance of 17 mm from the needle. The number of needle detections will be converted into water volume. ESP32 as a microcontroller for data processing and sending data to the internet. The number of needle detections produced is directly proportional to the volume of water passing through the water meter. The cubic meter value per detection is 0.001. The TCRT5000 sensor in measuring volume has an accuracy of 99,31%. The results of the system and data logger tests carried out produced a volume measurement accuracy value using a TCRT5000 sensor of 99,6%. This digital water meter system is designed with a compact design to facilitate installation and maintenance.
