Abstract
Peningkatan harga komoditas emas yang diikuti peningkatan penjualan perhiasan emas di tahun dalam 5 tahun keterakhir menjadi katalis positif bagi industri perhiasan emas di Indonesia. Namun, rendahnya minat generasi z masih menjadi tantangan bagi perusahaan lokal, meskipun generasi ini merupakan salah satu target market potensial dalam beberapa tahun kedepan. Untuk mengatasi kurangnya minat Gen Z terhadap perhiasan emas, diperlukan pendekatan inovatif yang dapat menarik minat generasi ini. Salah satu inovasi yang dapat dilakukan adalah pengembangan perhiasan emas dengan material thermochromic, yang memungkinkan perhiasan dapat berubah warna sesuai dengan suhu sekitar. Pengembangan perhiasan dengan implementasi material thermochromic dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen, yang mencakup identifikasi material thermochromic, transformasi warna, eksplorasi warna, pengujian material, sambungan, dan finishing material. Selain itu, untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan pengembangan produk menggunakan metode studi literatur, preferensi pengguna, analisis material, analisis produk kompetitor, analisis kebutuhan pengguna, analisis pasar, analisis pengguna potensial, prototyping, dan pengujian produk. Inovasi ini tidak hanya menawarkan estetika saja, tetapi juga dapat memberikan pengalaman yang unik dan relevan dengan gaya fashion Gen Z. Dengan adanya inovasi thermochromic yang diterapkan pada perhiasan emas, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat generasi ini untuk membeli perhiasan emas, sekaligus mendorong pertumbuhan industri perhiasan di Indonesia.

The increase in gold commodity prices followed by the rise in gold jewelry sales over the past five years has been a positive catalyst for Indonesia's gold jewelry industry. However, the low interest of Generation Z remains a challenge for local companies, even though this generation is expected to become one of the potential target markets in the coming years. To address the lack of interest among Gen Z in gold jewelry, an innovative approach is needed to attract their attention. One such innovation is the development of gold jewelry using thermochromic materials, enabling jewelry to change color according to the surrounding temperature. The development of jewelry incorporating thermochromic materials is conducted using an experimental method, which includes material identification, color transformation, color exploration, material testing, bonding, and material finishing. Additionally, to identify issues and develop the product, methods such as literature study, user preferences, material analysis, competitor product analysis, user needs analysis, market analysis, potential user analysis, prototyping, and product testing are employed. This innovation not only offers aesthetic value but also provides a unique experience relevant to Gen Z's fashion style. By implementing thermochromic innovations in gold jewelry, it is expected to increase this generation's interest in purchasing gold jewelry while also boosting the growth of the jewelry industry in Indonesia.
