Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sistem sambungan yang efisien dan fleksibel pada material kardus untuk instalasi pameran. Fokus utama adalah meningkatkan kekuatan konstruksi, efisiensi waktu pemasangan, serta kepraktisan dalam bongkar-pasang. Studi ini melibatkan wawancara dengan pelaku industri instalasi kardus, analisis proses distribusi material, teknik pemilihan material, hingga pengujian sambungan berbasis sistem interlocking. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem interlocking tanpa perekat atau pengencang tambahan dapat mempercepat proses pemasangan. Temuan juga mengidentifikasi kendala teknis, seperti perlunya penyesuaian sambungan untuk material dengan ketebalan yang berbeda dan kebutuhan untuk memastikan presisi dalam desain sambungan. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan sistem sambungan yang lebih adaptif dan kuat diperlukan untuk mendukung efisiensi konstruksi dan keberlanjutan dalam penggunaan material kardus. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam menciptakan solusi inovatif bagi instalasi pameran berbasis material ramah lingkungan dan membuka peluang untuk pengembangan teknik konstruksi modular.

This research aims to explore efficient and flexible connection systems in cardboard materials for exhibition installations. The main focus is on improving construction strength, installation time efficiency, and practicality in dismantling. The study involved interviews with players in the cardboard installation industry, analysis of material distribution processes, material selection techniques, and testing of interlocking system-based connections. Results showed that the use of interlocking systems without additional adhesives or fasteners can speed up the installation process. The findings also identified technical constraints, such as the need to customize joints for materials with different thicknesses and the need to ensure precision in joint design. In conclusion, the development of more adaptive and robust joint systems is needed to support construction efficiency and sustainability in the use of cardboard materials. This research contributes to creating innovative solutions for eco-friendly material-based exhibition installations and opens up opportunities for the development of modular construction techniques.
