Abstract

Tingginya tingkat stres kerja pada karyawan telah menjadi isu krusial yang berdampak signifikan terhadap penurunan produktivitas dan kualitas kinerja di lingkungan kerja modern. Diketahui bahwa produktivitas dan kualitas kerja dapat ditingkatkan melalui suasana kerja yang nyaman. Kondisi ini dapat dibentuk melalui desain interior yang mampu menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif dan bebas stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang interior kantor PT Pelindo Marine Service dengan menerapkan konsep kantor bebas stres guna meningkatkan produktivitas kerja karyawan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan proses desain dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, studi aktivitas, studi antropometri, dan analisis studi pembanding untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan preferensi pengguna sebagai dasar perumusan konsep desain. Penerapan elemen-elemen dalam desain interior PT Pelindo Marine Service, meliputi penataan ruang yang efisien, furnitur ergonomis, pencahayaan seimbang, pemilihan warna yang mendukung psikologi positif, pengendalian kebisingan, integrasi elemen alam, serta penambahan area kreatif multifungsi seperti pantry, gym, hiburan, dan area santai. Hasil uji validasi dari desain tersebut, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek tata ruang dengan rata-rata skor gradasi 240,5 dari 260 dan aspek estetika dengan skor rata-rata gradasi 238,6 dari 260. Data tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan penilaian aspek tata ruang dan estetika pada ruang yang telah terdesain dibandingkan dengan eksisting. Kedua aspek memperoleh penilaian sangat baik tanpa tanggapan negatif atau netral dari responden. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan desain interior yang berfokus pada aspek psikologis dan kesejahteraan pengguna efektif dalam menciptakan kantor bebas stres dan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja karyawan.

High levels of work stress among employees have become a crucial issue that significantly impacts the decline in productivity and work quality in modern work environments. It is known that productivity and work quality can be enhanced through a comfortable work atmosphere. This condition can be formed through interior design that is capable of creating a conducive and stress-free work environment. This research aims to redesign the interior office of PT Pelindo Marine Service by implementing a stress-free office concept to improve employee work productivity. The research method uses a design process approach with data collection through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, activity studies, anthropometric studies, and comparative study analysis to identify user needs and preferences as the basis for design concept formulation. The implementation of elements in the interior design of PT Pelindo Marine Service includes efficient space arrangement, ergonomic furniture, balanced lighting, color selection that supports positive psychology, noise control, integration of natural elements, and the addition of multifunctional creative areas such as pantry, gym, entertainment, and relaxation areas. The validation test results of the design showed significant improvements in the spatial arrangement aspect with an average gradation score of 240.5 out of 260 and the aesthetic aspect with an average gradation score of 238.6 out of 260. This data indicates that there is an improvement in the assessment of spatial arrangement and aesthetic aspects in the designed space compared to the existing conditions. Both aspects received excellent ratings without any negative or neutral responses from respondents. The results of this research prove that an interior design approach focused on psychological aspects and user well-being is effective in creating a stress-free office and improving employee work productivity.
