Abstract
Kedua, perhitungan desain heat exchanger tipe shell and tube secara analitis.

Oil Cooling Heat Exchanger is a heat exchanger device that functions to reduce the temperature of lubricating oil, which increases due to the lubrication process in high-temperature gas engine components. In this system, demineralized water acts as the secondary fluid to cool the oil and is pumped from the radiator tank through a water pump. This study consists of four main stages. First, determining the initial design assumptions based on TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association) standards and existing conditions. Second, performing analytical design calculations of the shell and tube type heat exchanger. Third, correcting the analytical results using an iterative method until a deviation of less than 5% is achieved. Lastly, validation is conducted using a thermal modeling approach based on rating and heat transfer performance evaluation.
The calculation results show that the designed heat exchanger has a heat transfer effectiveness of 88.3% with a heat transfer rate of 309,917.77 W. The final design uses 812 tubes with a diameter of 0.75 inches (BWG 20), a shell diameter of 0.7444 m, and 24 baffles with a baffle spacing of 0.1903 m. The analytically obtained overall heat transfer coefficient is 314.21 W/m²·K, with a correction factor of 1.3407%, calculated based on the flow configuration and inlet-outlet temperature ratio. The validation results indicate an overall heat transfer coefficient of 308.24 W/m²·K with a correction factor of 1.90%. The pressure drop on the shell side is 0.426 bar, and on the tube side is 0.196 bar, indicating that the system has efficient heat transfer performance and meets the design criteria
