Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring laju aliran bahan bakar LPG pada plant vertical fire tube boiler. Sistem monitoring dirancang menggunakan Sensor Mass Flow Meter M5712 yang mampu memberikan data laju aliran LPG secara akurat dan real-time. Data yang diperoleh digunakan untuk menganalisis efisiensi boiler. Sistem ini diintegrasikan dengan Human Machine Interface (HMI) untuk memantau data operasional, grafik, dan rekaman historis secara real-time selama waktu operasi.Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem monitoring berjalan dengan baik, memberikan pembacaan efisiensi boiler sebesar 0,106% pada mode kontrol P, 0,056% pada mode kontrol PI, dan 0,063% pada mode kontrol PID. Rendahnya efisiensi disebabkan oleh ketidakefektifan mekanis dalam proses pembakaran serta penggunaan material boiler dengan konduktivitas termal rendah. Kesimpulannya, sistem monitoring yang dirancang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pemantauan laju aliran LPG dan memberikan data penting untuk analisis efisiensi boiler. Namun, untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, diperlukan optimasi lebih lanjut pada sistem pembakaran dan pemilihan material boiler yang lebih sesuai ========================================================================================================================================
This study aims to design and implement a fuel flow monitoring system for LPG in a vertical fire tube boiler plant. The monitoring system was developed using the Mass Flow Meter Sensor M5712, which is capable of providing accurate and real-time LPG flow rate data. The collected data is utilized to analyze boiler efficiency. The system is integrated with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) to continuously monitor operational data, graphs, and historical records in real-time during operational hours.The test results show that the monitoring system performs well, with recorded boiler efficiencies of 0.106% in P control mode, 0.056% in PI control mode, and 0.063% in PID control mode. The low efficiency values are attributed to mechanical inefficiencies in the combustion process and the selection of boiler materials with low thermal conductivity.In conclusion, the designed monitoring system successfully meets the need for LPG flow rate monitoring and provides critical data for boiler efficiency analysis. However, further optimization of the combustion system and the selection of more suitable boiler materials are necessary to improve efficiency.
