Abstract

Departemen Statistika Bisnis Fakultas Vokasi Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember berkomitmen untuk mencetak lulusan yang siap bersaing di dunia kerja melalui pelaksanaan program magang. Magang merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang bertujuan memberikan pengalaman nyata kepada mahasiswa dalam menerapkan ilmu statistika dalam lingkungan profesional. Salah satu tempat magang yang relevan adalah PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), bank syariah terbesar di Indonesia yang berperan penting dalam pengembangan ekosistem keuangan syariah. Melalui kegiatan magang di BSI, mahasiswa memperoleh wawasan tentang operasional perbankan syariah serta penerapan statistika dalam proses pengambilan keputusan bisnis. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga mengembangkan keterampilan lunak seperti komunikasi, kerja tim, dan kemampuan adaptasi. Program magang ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi dunia kerja serta meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di pasar tenaga kerja.

The Department of Business Statistics at the Vocational Faculty of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember is committed to producing graduates who are competitive in the professional world through its internship program. The internship is a compulsory course designed to provide students with practical experience in applying statistical knowledge within a real-world work environment. One of the relevant internship institutions is PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), the largest Islamic bank in Indonesia, which plays a key role in the development of the national sharia financial ecosystem. Through the internship at BSI, students gain insight into Islamic banking operations and the application of statistics in business decision-making processes. Moreover, students enhance their soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability. This internship program is expected to better prepare students for the challenges of the workforce and improve their competitiveness in the job market.
