Abstract

Minat terhadap olahraga bola basket di kalangan wanita Indonesia mengalami peningkatan signifikan, didorong oleh prestasi timnas basket putri dan berkembangnya komunitas basket lokal. Namun, ketersediaan sepatu basket yang dirancang khusus untuk kebutuhan ergonomis dan estetika wanita Indonesia masih terbatas. Perancangan ini bertujuan menciptakan konsep sepatu basket wanita League yang ergonomis, fungsional, dan merepresentasikan karakteristik visual feminin serta tren terkini. Metodologi melibatkan pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan observasi, serta studi sekunder mengenai teori desain, ergonomi, material sepatu, dan pendekatan biomimikri. Proses desain dilakukan secara sistematis mulai dari analisis kebutuhan pengguna, pengembangan konsep, hingga pembuatan model 3D dan uji coba bentuk awal serta usability test terhadap prototipe. Prinsip biomimikri diterapkan untuk menciptakan solusi desain yang efisien dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan gerak atletik wanita. Hasil perancangan meliputi tiga seri desain sepatu dengan collar low-cut, upper berbahan monomesh tanpa lining untuk ventilasi optimal, serta tampilan ramping yang feminin namun sporty, yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kenyamanan, performa, dan membuka peluang pengembangan lini produk basket wanita League ke depan.

Interest in basketball among Indonesian women has significantly increased, driven by the achievements of the national women's basketball team and the growth of local basketball communities. However, the availability of basketball shoes specifically designed to meet the ergonomic and aesthetic needs of Indonesian women remains limited. This design project aims to create a concept for women's basketball shoes under the League brand that are ergonomic, functional, and visually representative of feminine characteristics and current trends. The methodology involves collecting primary data through interviews, questionnaires, and observations, as well as conducting secondary research on design theory, ergonomics, footwear materials, and the biomimicry approach. The design process was carried out systematically, starting from user needs analysis, concept development, and 3D modeling, to early form testing and usability testing of the prototype. Biomimicry principles were applied to create efficient design solutions tailored to the dynamic movement needs of female athletes. The final outcome includes three shoe series featuring low cut collars, monomesh uppers without lining for optimal ventilation, and a slim, feminine yet sporty appearance. This design is expected to enhance comfort, improve performance, and support the expansion of League’s women's basketball product line in the future.
