Abstract

Lombok memiliki potensi pariwisata yang tinggi yang perlu didukung oleh pasokan listrik yang andal, salah satunya melalui PLTU Lombok FTP-2 2x50 MW di Sambelia, Lombok Timur. PLTU ini menggunakan batubara yang dipasok melalui sistem Coal Handling, dengan Belt Conveyor BC-7 sebagai salah satu komponen utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang Belt Conveyor BC-7 dengan kapasitas 150 TPH, melalui perhitungan kapasitas dan daya motor secara manual dan menggunakan software Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design. Studi dibatasi pada satu unit conveyor , menggunakan material batubara, dan hanya membahas aspek kapasitas serta daya motor dalam kondisi operasi stabil. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat mendukung efisiensi distribusi batubara dan kinerja sistem pembangkit.
Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut diatas maka dilakukan studi literatur berupa membaca jurnal, penilitian terdahulu, textbook, serta membaca buku yang berkaitan dengan judul dan melakukan observasi lapangan serta mengambil data Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap Lombok FTP-2 2x50MW pada kecamatan Sambelia-Lombok Timur. Setelah dilakukan pengambilan data maka akan diolah dan dilakukan perhitungan manual serta dilakukan perhitungan dengan menggunakan Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan perhitungan kapasitas secara manual dan dengan software Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design sebesar 165 ton/jam, dengan kapasitas aktual sebelum direncanakan sebesar 150 ton/jam, sehingga didapatkan kapasitas angkut dinaikkan sebesar 10%. Pada perhitungan daya tanpa SF, software Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design menghasilkan nilai tertinggi sebesar 8,49 kW (lebih besar 19,75% dari manual). Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan software memberikan hasil yang lebih detail dan efisien, serta sangat membantu dalam perencanaan sistem belt conveyor.

Lombok has high tourism potential that must be supported by a reliable electricity supply, one of which is provided by the Lombok FTP-2 2x50 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant located in Sambelia, East Lombok. This power plant uses coal supplied through a Coal Handling System, with Belt Conveyor BC-7 serving as one of its main components. This study aims to redesign Belt Conveyor BC-7 with a target capacity of 150 TPH, by conducting both manual calculations and simulations using the Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design software. The scope of the study is limited to a single conveyor unit, using coal as the conveyed material, and focuses only on capacity and motor power under stable operating conditions. The results are expected to support coal distribution efficiency and enhance the overall performance of the power generation system.

To achieve these objectives, a literature review was conducted by examining relevant journals, previous studies, textbooks, and other references related to the topic. In addition, field observations and data collection were carried out at the Lombok FTP-2 2x50 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant in Sambelia District, East Lombok. The collected data was then processed through manual calculations as well as analyzed using the Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design software.

This study resulted in capacity calculations both manually and using Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design software, yielding a design capacity of 165 tons/hour, with the actual capacity before planning being 150 tons/hour. Thus, a 10% increase in conveying capacity was achieved. In the power calculation without a Factor of Safety (FoS), the Helix Delta T-6 software produced the highest result of 8.49 kW, which is 19.75% higher than the manual calculation. Based on the client's requirement for an FoS of 1.5, a 15 kW motor was selected to meet the required power of 12.7 kW. Overall, the use of software provided more detailed and efficient results, greatly supporting the planning and design of the belt conveyor system
