Abstract
Pemanfaatan limbah dari maraknya buah sebagai pertumbuhan mikroalga Thraustochytrid. Salah satunya limbah tomat dan kulit lemon, sebagai substrat pertumbuhan Thraustochytrid yang kaya akan karbon organik dan dapat menjadi sumber daya yang bernilai tinggi. Thraustochytrid digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kultivasi strain Thraustochytrid pada media limbah tomat sesuai untuk pertumbuhan sel, selain itu juga akan membantu mengurangi kadar DOC, dan memproduksi kandungan lipid berharga seperti omega-3. Penilitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menentukan substrat terbaik antara limbah tomat dan kulit lemon untuk pertumbuhan Thraustochytrid, mengukur efektivitas substrat limbah tomat dan kulit lemon oleh strain Thraustochytrid dalam meremoval konsentrasi karbon, untuk mengetahui substrat terbaik yang menghasilkan lipid serta omega-3 dari kultivasi Thraustochytrid.

Utilization of waste from the abundance of fruits as a growth medium for Thraustochytrid microalgae. One example is tomato and lemon peel waste, which is used as a growth substrate for Thraustochytrid, rich in organic carbon and can serve as a high-value resource. Thraustochytrid is used in this study. Cultivating Thraustochytrid strains on tomato dan lemon peel waste medium is suitable for cell growth, and it also helps reduce DOC levels and produce valuable lipid content such as omega-3. This study aims to determine the best substrate between tomato waste and lemon peel for Thraustochytrid growth, measure the effectiveness of tomato waste and lemon peel substrates by the Thraustochytrid strain in removing carbon concentrations, and identify the best substrate for producing lipids and omega-3 from Thraustochytrid cultivation.
